Had a craving for rabbit meat and upon research, this restaurant was identified. Reached the restaurant shortly after they open at 7pm and the outside area was already fully occupied. So my wife and I took a table inside. I ordered a bottle of Cremant and 1 escargot, a main salad which included rabbit terrine and duck foie gras. My wife ordered the white asparagus which came with 2 ham types. 15 minutes later, the waiter informed us that a table outside had left and offered us the able outside which we were glad to accept with the weather at 20 degrees Cº. The escargot was delicious with the bread. The 2 mains were large portions even though they were mainly vegetable meals. The rabbit terrine and the foie gras portion that came with the salad was delicious and large enough for 2 persons but I devoured it all myself 😋😋. Glad I took the chance even though some of reviews weren't good. I'm unlikely to visit Colmar again so I wish them all the best as I will certainly return to this...
Read moreIn short: not kids friendly at all, very unpleasant and impolite chef (owner?) yelling at clients. Not to be recommended, unless you want to ruin your diner.
En bref: chef (aussi propriétaire?) impoli et non plaisant, criant sur les clients. Ne recommande pas.
The story: we came with the kids and asked for a table inside to not disturb other clients (everyone is dining outside, it's summer). Waiters were nice. The chef shows up and shouts at the kids who started playing with salt and pepper, and removed them from the table. We say nothing, although this wasn't very nice, we understand that maybe he is afraid of breakages... Anyway, as we are waiting for our orders, the man comes back and shouts at us to stop making noise using swearwords. Kids (4 a 2 years old) were not crying or anything, just talking (so yes, a bit more loudly than adults, but nothing for which we ever have had any remarks in other...
Read moreFood was lovely, the server was awful. We stopped for escargot. When the waiter took our order, he made us feel really uncomfortable for ordering so little and asked multiple times if that was all to which we always responded yes. He then said “oh we’re not hungry” in a rude way before walking away. There was no minimum order requirement on the menu. when we declined drinks he honestly made us feel super uncomfortable for not having ordered more/spent more. For a place that charges almost 6 euro for one deviled egg, you would expect to be treated kindly and we really were not. My husband enjoyed the escargot and the egg was nice, but would never recommend or go back based on how we were treated. Wildly...
