Anshu — Restaurant in Dijon

Our entrées were delicious. The crepe de riz vapeur and the salade de boeuf grillé were fantastic, we were thrilled. Riz cantonais was good. My wife's shrimp a l'ail cuit vapeur was good.

I ordered the poulet au caramel thinking it would be the safest thing on the menu. It was completely inedible. Tasted of burnt charcoal, not a hint of sweetness to the runny sauce, and the meat tasted slightly spoiled.

The waitress was polite and friendly, but cleared away my untouched plate without a question. This is disqualifying. Even if you are adverse to conflict, that has to be addressed.

On our drive back home from our ski holiday, my wife suggested Asian food for lunch. I looked on Google maps and found Anshu. The reviews were generally positive so we decided to give it a try.

We got there shortly after opening so we were the only ones there on a Saturday at lunch.

We quite enjoyed our food. I had the beef with onions, my wife had a Thai curry, my daughter had fried shrimp and spring rolls, and my son has spring rolls and the house fried rice. Everything was excellent and was served quickly. The kids said if the restaurant was close to our home they'd want...

We are English speaking and appreciated the attempt to translate the French menu to English directly on the menu. The decor, food presentation and taste were exceptional. Our service however, was a zero. Three at our table were served 5 minutes apart from each other. The 4th entree was not delivered to the table until we tracked someone down to ask about it. This was a good 15 minutes after everyone else finished their meals. The server didn't come back to our table once. We had to seek assistance everytime we needed anything, including getting our check. Poor...
