I’ve eaten Indian all over the globe, this was by far the worst… my-bad for not reading other reviews, but thought we may be surprised on our only night in Dijon - sadly not!!
Tika chicken starter - A very boney single bit of chicken wing on a bed of old lettuce, served in a pointless fridge cold skillet(?!) No options for the rice - you get what you’re given. Garlic naan was basically a burnt solid pita with a sprinkle of garlic - could have played tennis with it! Riita- usually a yogurt, onion & cucumber mix, this one was French cream with a few chunks of sliced cucumber; awful (and I’m concerned about tomorrow!) Butter chicken - did not have the ‘buttery finish’ and lacked chicken. The Lamb ‘special’ was chewy and hard to eat, even with brick hard naans. Cocktail had no alcohol… The place does not have a portable card machine so don’t wait to be served for your bill.
It’s almost like someone thought because they have Indian roots they should set up an Indian restaurant - MAJOR...
Read moreI come from an Indian family and came here 3 years ago and had a fantastic meal. So, I was excited to have moved nearby recently and have access to something that reminds me of home. However, I was horribly disappointed to order Bainghan Bharta on Deliveroo and receive the equivalent of two thin slices of eggplant chopped up in a tasteless sauce. The serving was tiny and as a vegetarian dish would have cost about 1€ to make and was more than 12€ (not including the delivery and service fees). The Chicken Biryani was literally rice with two small chunks of chicken in it for more than 15€. Where are the nuts, spices and accompanying curry???? So, sad to have lost the only decent Indian food I’d found in Dijon. Also zero accompaniments available to order on Deliveroo besides raita. Chutney? Pickles? Papadams? All available last time I ate at the restaurant and staples with...
Read moreThe worst eating experience I have ever had. Table of eleven booked and either they could not cope or should not be in business. They took an age to take an order (45 to an hour). I ordered 22 poppadoms for the table, 16 eventually arrived. Pickles etc followed 20/30 mins later followed by the remaining poppadoms on request. Once the food orders were finally taken. Naan breads arrived 20/30 mins before the main meal. Food was tasteless and disappointing. We ate and left ASAP. I personally will never...
