This hotel has a great location. What it lacks in amenities it makes up for in location. You can walk everywhere from here. Shopping is right outside the door, and the historic sites are around the corner. Check in was very smooth. There is no parking in the old town, but this hotel is only one block from an underground parking garage. It was great, and a very unique amenity that not many hotels have. You do have to pay extra, but that is everywhere in the old town. I highly recommend you pay the extra. If you stay outside of old town, you waist a lot of money on transport. The check in process was smooth, with a friendly clerk to assist. We speak English and she was very fluent. It is a great help that there are no keys. It is all done by code. When walking all day to see sites, it helps not to have a key to keep up with. The room was small, but comfortable. We had room for us, and our luggage. There is a small nook to put your suitcase and hang a few things. If you travel with large luggage, this may not work for you, but we travel light and it was fine. The bed was very comfortable. It was firm but not to firm. I am a side sleeper and it worked for me. The pillows were nice as well. I have allergies and had no issue with the material used. There was a TV, but is was very small. This is one of the things that would keep me from giving it a 10. This and the fact it only had one English channel, and it was a new channel that repeated the news ever 15 minutes. With today's internet and satellite based TV networks I think they should offer something with a few language channel choices. The room had air conditioning and internet. Both of these features are big pluses. The internet worked great, and was fast. The air worked well to cool the small room. Last you have the bathroom. The sink and toilet were your usually set up. It did not have a tub, only a shower. The bathroom was very small and dated. You could tell the bath and sink were very old. It was functional for what we needed, but I could have rated higher if it were updated. It was clean, but stained. The hot water worked well, but you had to turn the water off to soap up (it is very small). Overall great location, comfortable, and suitable for a quick site...
Read moreWe stayed in a family room for two nights, and unfortunately, it wasn’t the best experience.||||The hotel looks good on the outside—it's modern and well-located.||||Check-in: It was okay and pretty smooth.||||However, it was difficult to find our room (Number 001), which was located on the third floor at the end of the corridor, past rooms numbered in the 300s.||||Once inside, at first glance, the room seemed decent, but then we noticed a few issues:||||* Cleaning Not Included: We were surprised to learn that cleaning wasn’t included in the stay, and they wanted to charge extra for it! This has never happened to us before in hotels of the same brand.||||* Shower Design: The open shower design was poorly thought out, causing water to spill all over the bathroom floor, which was a hassle.||||* Shower Light Flickering: The light in the shower kept flickering on and off the whole time, which was really annoying.||* ||Hot Water for Tea: When we asked for hot water to make tea in our own mugs, they only gave us a tiny cup. This wasn’t ideal, especially with a family of four, one of whom had the flu.||||* Room Lighting: The lighting in the room was quite poor and felt very dim. It was a bit depressing.||||As frequent users of B&B Hotels, we expected better. We would consider giving this hotel another chance only if...
Read moreI’ve been to several B&B properties throughout Europe. I know they are budget hotels but this was the most disappointing. First, it had the least to offer out of any other. No coffee/tea in the room or in the reception. You could buy either from a vending machine for 1.70. ||||No phone in room, the pillows were horrible, they use a flat instead of a fitted sheet so I woke up sleeping against the mattress. But the two most disappointing issues were the cleanliness of the room and the lack of soap in the bathroom. There was only one soap dispenser in the bathroom located in the shower. It was ridiculous having to bend behind a shower door to get soap to wash hands. Also the floors were disgusting. And lastly the internet was less than great. Of your device turned off you had to log back in each time. And the internet did not work at all our first night.||||If you want a place to lay your head and nothing else, this is the place for you. But I have stayed in hostels for less that...
