Bistrot City Genève Aéroport Ferney Voltaire — Restaurant in Gex

This is a real gem hidden in the Appart'city hotel. Like a well-kept secret, this restaurant is open at lunch times and dinner times from Monday to Friday, serving really excellent modern French cuisine. My entree of smoked trout caviar with curry mousse and toasts was superb, and the main meal consisted of king prawns served with risotto and a carpaccio of beetroot and spiced honey. My husband took the more traditional options of pate served with picked vegetables for his entree, which was given in generous and delicious proportions. His main meal was a succulent beef fillet served with truffled potatoes and he said it's the best meal he's had in months. He couldn't help but finish with the creme brulee and again said it was the best he could remember having! Somehow, visitors and locals need to be able to find this place and share in the secret as it is a top level French bistro within easy walking distance of the international school, the Levant Business Centre buildings and all apartments this side of Avenue du Jura. Une pépite cachée à découvrir absolument !

Nous avons dîné au Bistro City un soir par hasard, sans vraiment savoir à quoi nous attendre, et quelle belle surprise ! Ce restaurant, qui fait partie de l'hôtel, est encore peu connu, mais il mérite vraiment d'être découvert.

Dès les entrées, nous avons été conquis : les œufs parfait et la salade César étaient tout simplement délicieux. Nous avons ensuite goûté le pluma de porc, une vraie découverte culinaire, succulent et parfaitement préparé. Pour finir, une crème brûlée légère et savoureuse, le tout accompagné d'une excellente bouteille de Crozes-Hermitage. Chaque plat était une réussite, tant par la qualité des produits que par leur exécution.

L'endroit est très cosy, épuré et impeccablement propre, créant une ambiance agréable pour un dîner. Le service était attentionné sans être envahissant, ce qui a rendu notre soirée encore plus agréable. Après le dîner, nous avons prolongé l'expérience au bar de l'hôtel pour un digestif, un moment convivial qui a parfaitement conclu cette belle soirée.
