Da Vinci — Restaurant in Grasse

This is a new restaurant that just opened in December 2024. Based upon the excellent Google reviews we decided to make reservations tonight. From the moment the Host, Morgan met us at the door we knew that we were if for a great dining experience. He made sure we were comfortably seated and got us started with wine and appetizers, both of which were reasonably priced and delicious. The fresh bread was a wonderful foil to the olives and mortadella. Jean, our waiter made sure we had water and more bread and accurately explained the menu entrees to us. I chose the Osso Bucco with saffron risotto and my wife opted for the Swordfish with putanesca and pomme de Terre. Both were tender, tasty and as described! Jean was attentive and made sure we had more wine and water as needed. The restaurant is decorated tastefully and has a very nice ambiance. Although the night was cold, wet and rainy the restaurant had quite a few diners by 8 pm. The management and wait staff seem very committed to making this one of the best dining...

Visited a few times, the food is decent but health and safety is not something they take seriously. My 77 year old grandfather ended up on the floor after they failed to warn him there was a deep hole under his chair, which the leg fell into sending him flying.

Shockingly he wasn't the only one either, another diner had a similar experiance and ended up on a floor, so happened twice just from my experiance!

On a previous visit I suffered a burn from brushing against a ridiculously hot metal bowl my food was served in, shudder to think of the outcome if someone spilled that on themselves due to an issue like this too.

I emailed to ask what they're doing about these issues but have had no response, we didn't even get the meal he was unable to finish compensated for!

Servers were trying hard but we waited a really long time to order and it was a Sunday night. There were also long waits between courses and it was not very busy. We had pasta which was too sweet and pizza that was called “the devil” and it was very mild. The bread also had a weird taste like it was not baked with distilled water. They need a better system to manage guests. Too many mistakes and waits to recommend this place to others. Price point is okay which might make it a reasonable choice if you are craving...
