The Bad: The wait: We booked and arrived at 11am. They took our order30min after, and brought our drinks 2min afterwards. The food arrived another 30min after (and by then of course the drinks were long gone). The sitting: We had a table of too between the entrance door and the phone. No one seemed to want to close that door properly, including the staff (worth mentioning that it was during winter), and the phone just kept ringing. So basically it was cold and noisy. The pricing: The menu is fine and fairly diverse, but there are so many asterixis, add-ons, etc.. You cannot even have a simple flat white as a hot drink with any of their formulas without paying a complement. It's honestly too complicated and can be very pricey what you're being served.
The "ok": The food was ok. The truffle croque monsieur tasted pretty good but lacked depth and personality (clearly the bread is toasted separately and then assembled with the filling, it was still pretty good but a little dry). The double monsieur matin was quite average, you really could the same thing at home with no efforts at all.
The Good: Well honestly it wasn't anything "really" good.
Conclusion: I'm sure some of the bad stuff (except the pricing) could have been avoided and it would have already been a better experience. Food was ok but nothing outstanding. Staff was decent but nothing more to say about it. Of course I can only speak for my experience, but this was a pretty disapointing and frustrating brunch. No hard feelings, but I would not go back and would not recommend it. That being said that place seems to be popular so I'm not too...

the waitress is nice but don’t know much what is been cooked, whatever question she needs to ask the chef my daughter tried the croque monsieur at an Antibes boulangerie and thought that was the best grilled cheese sandwich she ever ate and this ordered the same here. First it’s 3 times more expensive ($16 vs $5.5); then it really just used American cheap cheddar cheese and ham. My daughter was so disappointed! The $5.5 boulangerie one used comte cheese + béchamel sauce, completely several levels better.
my little one ordered hot dog, and we had no idea why she got immediate allergy reaction! I assume they used some nuts other than pin nuts to make the pesto sauce which caused this. We got no info from menu or the waitress
the other food are ok, but really normal quick food quality
Then come to the end I ordered an espresso and got an almost brown color water! If you ever used a used Nespresso capsule to make a second espresso, that’s what you will get. I complained and she gave me another one which looks much better at least, but taste bad. I didn’t check but they may have a cheap coffee machine
Anyway, I am not surprised this restaurant can survive in Valbonne where people may want to taste American style brunch from time to time, but this is low quality food made by a looked very young chef who definitely doesn’t put a lot of...
Read moreNot very kind or receptive. We were there with a pregnant friend and they warned us about not having AC (which was fine) but it took them 30minutes to come see us to order and not even a word to see if we needed water in the heat while waiting. Once the order taken, no kind smiles or words. It was also an awkward departure. I reassure you, I am French so the language barrier was not an issue. The food was ok. We did enjoy the truffle pasta and the French toast was amazing. The pancakes were burnt however and the muffins (bread) were super dry they were almost crumbling (and they weren’t even toasted). Overall - we were really disappointed. I had been here before and it had been lovely, so I really thought it would be again. The deco however has gotten even better and the space is SUPER cute. I wonder if we had sat downstairs, instead of the upstairs space, the service would have been better as we would be right in...
