Disappointing Experience – I Do Not Recommend

I came in for lunch and decided to sit inside. The restaurant was completely empty, with every table available. I politely asked if I could sit at a booth with a sofa, but received a tense and abrupt response: “That table is only for parties of four.” When I asked why, I was told those tables were supposedly about to be cleaned. However, during the full hour I spent there, no one touched them.

I was particularly shocked by the behavior of an older woman working there (around 60 years old). She was clearly agitated and showed a complete lack of regard for guests — she practically threw the dishes onto my table.

As for the food — another disappointment. I ordered the truffle risotto, but what I got was just overcooked rice mush with some truffle. It bore no resemblance to real risotto, and the taste was mediocre at best.

Overall, a very unpleasant experience. I do not recommend...

Absolutely disgusting behavior by waitress and manager (or whatever his position is). Me and my mother asked to be seated outside for a drink (place was empty, maybe 2-3 tables occupied). Waitress comes and starts cleaning a table which is close to an occupied table and since we are cautious of Covid and would prefer sitting somewhere more socially distanced we asked if we can sit somewhere a bit far from the other customers. Waitress gets angry and says something to her manager, who then says they don’t have a table for us and starts accommodating other people behind us. We basically were kicked out of the restaurant without even being seated. Very unreasonable and degrading behavior, your restaurant was empty and you don’t have a table for us simply because we asked if we can be a bit further away from other customers? No respect of social distance in Covid times and no respect...

A really nice, authentic Italian restaurant in the heart of Cannes.

The service was very pleasant - the menu was in French and being an English speaker only, I couldn’t understand it. They had an English version of the menu which was great but one needed the internet to access it and I didn’t have any. So one of the waiters kindly hot-spotted me so I could read the menu.

I ordered linguine and meatballs. The meatballs were huge and sufficient. They were pinker than I’m used to but they were cooked and tender. The linguine was nicely al dente. The bread which accompanied it wasn’t fresh so I didn’t find it pleasant but the main meal was.

There is sufficient seating in the restaurant and the aesthetics were pleasing.
