Mamma Mia - La Spiaggia — Restaurant in Grasse

Food was good, but the service was disappointing. A half-filled cocktail and a wrong dish served without apology.

We ordered two cocktails — a Negroni and a Spritz — along with two main courses: Pizza Parma and Pasta Saumon & Citron.

The Negroni, priced at €12, was served in a glass less than half full, and when we raised the concern, we were told this was normal.

The pasta dish was brought out incorrectly in different flavor than ordered. Upon politely pointing this out, the staff took several minutes to verify the order and at no point was an apology offered. It then took an additional 15 to 20 minutes for the correct dish to be served, again without any acknowledgment of the error or the extended wait. Meanwhile, the other main dish had already...

This is a genuinely friendly place where the friendly staff is the first thing you meet. We ordered a takeaway Pasta Alfredo as we didn't have time, we almost didn't want to ask as we feel like most restaurants want you to sit down.

"No problem, of course!" With the biggest smile and 10 minutes later we were on our way.

This is the Main reason we went for a second visit where we actually sat down and tried the pizza as well. This is REAL prepared pizza dough - it Said 72 hours fermentation which it also tasted like.

We were lucky to have this place directly below where we were staying. As we had an amazing view from our balcony we chose to takeaway twice during our stay. Not only are the Pizza's first class, the staff are excellent and caring too. A measure of this was on the first visit when the owner (?) charged me using my credit card for our largish takeaway order but then told me had not given the takeaway discount (which I was not aware of) gave me that in cash.
