I recently had the pleasure of visiting Le Madrigal, a modest yet exceptional café located in the beautiful city of Cannes. From the moment I stepped inside, I was pleasantly surprised by the impeccable service and the affordability of the prices, which is a rare find in this renowned tourist destination.
My friends and I decided to stop by Le Madrigal for a quick coffee break during our visit. I opted for their refreshing iced coffee, while my companions both ordered espresso. To our delight, the drinks were not only tasty but also served with finesse, showcasing the baristas' attention to detail.
However, what truly stole the show was the mesmerizing view. As we sat facing the majestic Mediterranean Sea, the sight of the azure waters stretching out into the horizon created an ambiance of pure tranquility. It was a captivating experience that added an extra layer of relaxation to our visit.
Le Madrigal may not boast extravagant decor or a flashy exterior, but its unpretentious charm is part of its allure. The cafĂ©'s simplicity allows guests to focus on what truly mattersâthe exceptional service, delectable beverages, and the serenity of the surroundings.
Furthermore, the affordability of Le Madrigal is worth noting. Considering its prime location in Cannes, where prices tend to skyrocket, we were pleasantly surprised by the reasonable rates. It's a breath of fresh air to find a place that doesn't compromise on quality while still offering affordable options for visitors and locals alike.
Overall, Le Madrigal is a hidden gem that deserves recognition. From the warm and attentive service to the delightful beverages, this unassuming café left a lasting impression on us. If you're looking for a tranquil spot to enjoy a cup of coffee or simply unwind while taking in the breathtaking view of the Mediterranean Sea, Le Madrigal is the perfect choice.

The only thing that clashed with mine and my fiancée's impression was the young waiter's manners: he didn't speak a word of English, so we had to communicate with the bit of French we knew; I asked for a Hugo Spritz, which he didn't know and also told me the bar didn't do Drinks (cocktails), to which claim my fiancée responded saying the regular spritzs - the ones that were on the menu - were drinks indeed. He did not answer. We were served olives and chips as well from the other, more enjoyable, waiter. I recommend going to this bar, I would just like to point out a few faults we saw in...
Read moreSat down for a drink here and was ignored for about 5 minutes (there mustâve been over 30 tables, only 3 of which were being used) a guy then sat down two tables away and was served almost immediately, I felt slightly insulted as I had been there for a while, but thought, ok the waiter will come over now, but no! He took the other guys order and walked away, so at that point, I got up and walked away too.
As a footnote to this, I went to the bar next door, had my beer, then when I left, I walked past Le Madrigal and was given a filthy look by the waiter...
