L'annexe — Restaurant in Grasse

Ate here a couple weeks ago while on a day trip in Antibes. I have severe food allergies and chose this restaurant because of their allergy menu, thinking they were super proactive and it would be safe. After double checking about my allergies (the waiters being impatient and rude - should have been the first red flag), we ordered a couple pizzas. First of all they were the worst pizzas we’ve ever had (not Italian style, but more like dominoes pizza) and on top of that I had a minor allergic reaction to something in the pizza after eating just one slice. I alerted the waiter that I wasn’t feeling well and he offered to call an ambulance because he didn’t want me to “die in the restaurant”, while at the same time repeating that there wasn’t anything I was allergic to in the pizza. Overall horrible experience, stay away!!

Responding to the owner’s reply: how insulting that they imply I faked my allergy. For what? It’s not like we didn’t pay! I left the restaurant in a hurry because I wasn’t feeling well (although I wasn’t in need of expensive emergency medical services, just a toilet). We got the pizza to go because my mom isn’t allergic, she could’ve eaten it and we don’t like to waste food. But then we left the pizza boxes on the side of the road because she told me she didn’t want to eat it anyways. The owners response just goes to show how much they don’t care about...

A group of us went here for lunch, 11 of us. We were sat outside with the rain looming, it became obvious that they were rushing us to order before the rain came and in the panic I ordered something that I actually didn't want. On reflection we should have left. We ate our meal and the rain came, they opened the canopy but it wouldn't reach our table as it was 'too windy'. We were left out in the rain, with our puddings ordered. Little effort was made to reseat us elsewhere in the restaurant, and we received the dreaded shrugged shoulders; there was no room at the inn. We ate our takeout puddings under the archway in the square, looking longingly at the other customers eating...

A FUIR S'il y avait la possibilité de ne mettre aucune étoile, je la saisirais sans aucune hésitation. Service tout bonnement déplorable. Enfin surtout un serveur en particulier. Le serveur en question se permet de fumer sa cigarette en plein service, en apportant les plats, où le risque que la cendre tombe dans la nourriture servie est élevé. Manque cruel d'hygiène et de bon sens. Ce même serveur se permet de prendre, en plein repas, le verre d'eau d'un ami afin de boire tranquillement un shot de limoncello avec les clients de la table d'à côté. Ce même serveur, tente par ailleurs d'arnaquer ces clients-ci en montant la somme de l'addition de 50€ sur le TPE, heureusement que ces derniers ont fait attention à ce que le bon prix soit indiqué. Notons que ces clients ne parlaient pas un mot de français, serait-ce une technique de cet employé pour arnaquer facilement les touristes? Cela relève d'une malhonnêteté épouvantable. Après avoir demandé à 4 reprises puis attendu 30 minutes une addition qui n'est jamais parvenue à notre table, nous décidons de nous diriger à l'intérieur, où un autre employé nous encaisse gentiment. En effet, notre même serveur était tranquillement parti acheter un paquet de cigarettes au tabac du bout de la rue. Lors de l'encaissement, ce MÊME serveur "s'excuse" pour sûrement se dédouaner de la situation suite à notre agacement visible, en disant je cite «Désolé c'était un peu à la Camping Paradis». Il regarde notre ticket et a l'audace de se plaindre de ne pas y voir de pourboire ce à quoi nous lui faisons remarquer son attitude effroyablement irrespectueuse et irresponsable tout au long du service. Notre serveur se défend en avançant qu'il travaille dans des 4 à 5 étoiles et qu'il fait énormément de pourboire ici et que ce n'est pas le nôtre qui va lui manquer. Je ne m'y connais pas en restauration, mais cela m'étonnerait fortement que cela se passe ainsi dans des restaurants cotés. En bref, n'y allez pas ou vous ferez face à un cruel manque de professionnalisme, d'hygiène, d'honnêteté et de politesse de la part...
