La Cave des Epicuriens — Restaurant in Grasse

We were lucky enough to have rented a place right next to this awesome place, which quickly became our favorite wine bar (and shop) in Antibes. Olivier is a very knowledgeable and friendly sommelier and he had a fantastic wine selection. Surprisingly, it turned out he used to study for the master sommelier exam with a friend of ours from Bulgaria. Small world!

We were happy to see that every day there were plenty of different great wines that one could sample by the glass. And a lot more by the bottle, of course. Really solid selection for the discerning wine lover. If you're into wines - that's the place for you!

We stumbled across this absolute gem of an establishment while walking through Antibes and had a wonderful time. Our server was so friendly and really helpful, accurately describing the differences between the wines. We tried a glass of two different French wines which were both delicious, and also had 2 tapas plates which again were fabulous. D'd'emblée ce qui m'a "accroché" c'est qu'il était plein. Par experience, je sais que quand un établissement reçoit beaucoup de clients c'est qu'il doit être bon. J'ai eu de la chance, et la dernière table disponible . L'accueil est chaleureux, aimable et souriant, je parle d'Olivier, qui est le maître de ces lieux. Une fois installé, je regarde les suggestions, et je repère le sauté de veau. Qu'aimeriez vous boire avec ça ? Me demande t il . J'adore le vin rosé répondis je. Il m'a fait goûter un rosé savoureux, fruité, un goût extraordinaire. C'est a ce moment que je découvre que l'endroit est spécialisé en vins bio et biodynamiques. Et une cave impressionnante est présentée. Ça fait un peu "bar a vins" d'ailleurs il y a un choix de planchas a déguster avec un bon verre. Arrive mon sauté de veau, (voir la photo, ) Je mange sans pain, du coups les saveurs restent pures en bouche. Bon, très bon, surprenant même. Je demande a olivier si c'est lui qui a préparé ce plat, il me dit faire travailler un traiteur Niçois. Je me suis régalé. Le plat avec un verre de rosé exceptionnel le tout 18€. Cadre estival, limite romantique, il y avait quelques couples, main dans la main charcuterie et vin. Il ne manquait qu'une chandelle pour ajouter au romantisme.
