A really nice Italian restaurant in an old town Antibes. If you are looking for a romantic dinner, a quiet/relaxing place for a night. This place is for you! It is great for romantic dinner, dining with family or group of friends. The restaurant has about 10 tables (so make sure you reserve your table in advance and is only open at night. During summer time there will be more tables on the terrace outside (around Mid June-August) Food was good. Service was warm and welcoming. There was only few selection of menu but it was good and gastronomic, love the dessert. Ambience was nice and relaxing. It got some candle light at night. The price is reasonable for its services and ambience. This place has never been too crowed because the booking management of the restaurant so you can sit as long as you like for the night. Since the restaurant is pretty small so it can accept only few guests per night (don’t feel bad if one day you show up at the door and get rejected) so...
Read morePlease do me a favor and read the recent reviews of this restaurant. Some say it’s a tourist trap, bland food, disappointment with serving time. I have to disagree with all these complaints. There are maybe 7 tables inside that range from 2-4 people seating. Seating is tight! Get there early if you want to try this place. They couldn’t fit any more tourists even if this restaurant wanted to. Food was amazing and the prices were the best in this area. Serving time, yes service is a bit longer vs the US but you’re on France time. Deal with it. There’s no rush with dinner, just enjoy it! I highly recommend if you are craving a good Italian meal. The staff is super friendly and they speak English, French and Italian. We went In June, didn’t have a problem with walking in but I recommend making a reservation during peak summer. This was a favorite of ours and there is a beer bar a few doors down which I recommend if you want a drink...
Read moreThis restaurant was a bit dissapointing for us. The e-meals were oke, but not more than that. The beef tenderloin was medium/well done, While asked for medium/rare. The aperatif, starter and main were served within 40 minutes!!! I asked to wait with the main, but still received it while just finished the starter. And the worse was the dessert! Canolli with chantilly cream…. This was a real joke. The canolli was so weak the fluent whipped cream (aerosol!!!) was leaking through the canolli…. Whe asked the owner of the restaurant if this was a mistake, but he said that this was an original Italian dessert and that the tourists liked something light at the end….. the good thing was that we were offered to change this kids dessert to a tiramisu.
For a good italian restaurant you better try le bistro de...
