Le Cafe Brun — Restaurant in Grasse

What a beautiful experience tonight. We are new to France, have only been living here for only 1 month and it hasn't been that easy not knowing the language. Today Cafe Brun gave us a different image of this country. We wanted to order a drink but where greater with such amazing energy, the waiter spoke ver y good English and also asked us a very important question, not just what we wanted but went into detail and got to know us and offered my wife one of their amazing cocktails, ohh yes it was tasty, food looked amazing so we ordered some nobles as we where not that hungry but looking at the presentation of the food made it very difficult for us to say no and I'm glad we ordered because it was super good. I was in Antibes September 18-22. The atmosphere indoors is cozy and eclectic without feeling pretentious - I arrived after daytime food service and was looking for somewhere I could relax and have a drink after walking around most of the day. I ended up sitting for hours and listening to their music (classic rock and roll! & the staff was just jamming out and singing along. It was perfect) The staff was accommodating and they seemed to enjoy working there. They kept my wine glass full and even charged my phone. The day time manager was incredible! The waiter was really nice and our food portions were big. These were the two stars I would give this restaurant. We were seated in the outdoors area next to a bush, with weird smell coming from over the bush, which later we found out was a dumpster. We ordered tuna tartare and steak among other dishes. Both were extremely mediocre but we still finished the tuna and boxed the steak.

The moment we got up (about 40min after first consuming the tuna tartare), my stomach started acting up and I knew I needed to use the bathroom. The same thing happened to my boyfriend 5 minutes later. We both ended up getting really sick, having diarrhea and...
