Drinkers Club — Restaurant in Grasse

If you are somewhat into the mixology culture, the drinks here are NOT on that level! It’s regular punching together ingredients like in very low level „bar“. The service was straight up SHADY. Here is where it get’s very interesting:

The waitress came promptly after finishing my first drink, asking if it was good. When I answered „not really“ she kept pressuring if I want to order another one . I then asked for the bill, which cause her fake smile to turn into a frown. Total shift in her attitude within a snap second! When I paid the bill, I gave a her a tip of 1,5 € regardless. Yes the service was awkwardly bad thus far, but everyone has a bad day, no? However, she ignored my easily distinguishable rounding of „eighteen“ and gave me change for „twenty“, raising her own tip to 3,5 €. When I made her aware of her „mistake“ she didn’t hesitate to throw the 2 € coin back on the bill-platter without any sign (nor word) of remorse! No „sorry“, no „my bad“, just pure hatred towards a very friendly tourist who still tipped her, even though his whole experience was a complete disaster.

Is this whole bar the problem or the single waitress? Well another waitress was involved into all this. I have the strong perception that this shady behavior is a problem with company culture. I therefore will definitely advice anyone NOT to visit this place! Just chose one of the other...

Lovely atmosphere and service was good but the food was horrendous. Ordered nachos and a cheese board - Nachos was very bland and tasteless with a sprinkling of cheese, tiny little amount of salsa and guacamole - no sour cream.
