If I couldn’t put zero stars I would!

The most appallingly rude staff I’ve ever came across.

We were heading out for early dinner, approximately 6pm, and came across a row of pleasant looking bars/ restaurants in a beautiful port side setting - Les Cercles being one of them.

There was one table occupied in the outdoor seating terrace (leaving approximately 10-15 empty tables, maybe more!), a couple of these tables with a reserved ticket on, and then a few more customers just having drinks on the tables at the back.

There were 2 members of staff out front, to whom I asked if there was availability to eat. They said yes and gestured to the empty tables, and told me to go inside for a menu- not great customer service but I was ok with that.

I then asked the waiter inside if it was ok to get a food menu, he handed this to me, and we sat outside in one of the many unoccupied tables- without a reserved ticket on.

After browsing the menu for approximately 5 minutes, the same man that gave me the menu inside walked up to our table (past the many empty ones) threw a reserved ticket down and said ‘I NEED THIS TABLE’ we said we were told to sit out here if we wanted to eat, he said ‘It’s reserved for eating’ to which we replied ‘We are also eating?’ He just repeated ‘I NEED THE TABLE’

It was clear he just didn’t want to serve us, why I will never know.

Maybe so he could save the tables for him to swoon inappropriately over the glamorous young girls (as he did, and we observed every night we walked past for the remainder of the week.) Tall dark haired man

A Lunchtime Favorite in Cannes – Wonderful Food, Great Value, and Exceptional Team

During our holiday in Cannes, Marins became our absolute favorite spot for lunch – so much so that we returned regularly throughout our stay. The combination of great value for money, delicious food, and warm, attentive service made it an easy choice every time.

The lunch menu consistently impressed us with its fresh ingredients, thoughtful presentation, and generous portions. It’s not always easy to find a place that delivers both quality and value, but Marins truly delivers on both fronts.

A special mention must go to Brice, the wonderful manager, whose warmth, professionalism, and personal attention set the tone for the whole experience. From our very first visit, she made us feel welcome and appreciated — always checking in with a friendly smile to ensure everything was just right.

But just as importantly, we want to thank the entire team at Marins. Every member of the staff contributed to a seamless, relaxed, and enjoyable experience. The service was always efficient, friendly, and genuinely caring — a rare combination that made every lunch feel special.

Marins is a true gem in the harbor of Cannes, and we’ll definitely be back on our next visit. Thank you to Brice and the whole team for making our holiday lunches such a highlight!

We stopped here today to have a drink. Sat at one of the tables and were completely ignored for 15 minutes. One of the waiters saw us, even made eye contact. But ignored us and continued polishing his cutlery. Eventually I got up and went to the interior area to ask should we come inside to order. OF COURSE! said the waiter. So why not tell us instead of ignoring us for 15 minutes?

I cannot believe the arrogance of this waiter - we are his raison d'être, as they say, and he just couldn't care less. We walked out in disgust and continued further along the marina. To our delight, we found L' Ecrin - a gorgeous, friendly and hospitable beach club where we sat and enjoyed wonderful cocktails and canapés.

Thank you Le Circle des Marins (and the wonderfully arrogant waiter in particular), you did us a favour with your rude and poor hospitality. I'd suggest anyone else looking to eat or drink around this marina walk...
