THE BLOOM CONCEPT CANNES — Restaurant in Grasse

I was pleasantly surprised to find a place like The Bloom Concept in Cannes. Most places here tend to offer average service at high prices, but Bloom is the exact opposite. Coming from the seaside area of Glyfada in Athens, where there are many similar spots, I could tell right away that they truly care about quality.

The Bloom Concept has a well-thought-out menu with plenty of options. We tried three different bowls, including the açaí bowl.

My bowl was fresh, flavorful, and nicely presented. The owners could take some inspiration from Peri Gis (Περί Γης), a place in Glyfada with a similar concept, to further develop their already great menu.

The only thing I missed from my açaí bowl was a good spoon of peanut butter. That would elevate it even higher!

We’ll definitely come back to try the savory dishes next time; they look delicious. The music was great, and the staff were very kind and welcoming.

J’étais curieux d’essayer ce restaurant après l’avoir vu beaucoup en pub sur Instagram, mais je dois avouer avoir été déçu. Dès le début, on nous apporte la carte puis, une fois notre choix fait, on nous annonce qu’il ne reste plus la majorité des plats. On a donc dû recommencer à choisir après avoir attendu 10 minutes, ce qui casse un peu l’ambiance. À l’intérieur, l’expérience n’est pas agréable : le bruit constant du mixeur couvre la conversation, on a du mal à s’entendre.

Côté plats : • Le bowl sucré avait du goût mais la texture était bien trop liquide, ça ressemblait plus à un smoothie qu’à un vrai bowl. • La salade César m’a particulièrement déçu : le “poulet grillé” était visiblement du poulet en barquette, sans travail particulier, et il n’y avait même pas d’œuf dedans, ce qui est pourtant un basique. •De mon côté la bowl était bon.

Je m’attendais à quelque chose de plus raffiné et travaillé vu la mise en avant sur les réseaux. Dommage, car le concept pourrait être sympa, mais la réalité ne suit pas...
