Our private tour guide, Nigel Donegan of "Donegan brothers rugby tours," coaxed our group into this hostelry with little persuasion and oh my, how impressed were we! The famous cead míle failte welcome coupled with the aristocratic French hospitality made this a venue that really ticked all our boxes. We sampled each and every kind of local beer, settling on the leffe. It had really crisp tones that went well with the local dish we consumed earlier that day. Nigel has a magical way in his communication style. He introduced us to locals and set up a perfect evening conversing with them not just by words but by actions too. I never realised how much the French enjoyed the simple hug or beat off the heart with one's fist expressing all the emotion possible.. this was just one stop off of many in our tour.
