Paradis d'Asie — Restaurant in La Rochelle

Pretty disappointing. Unfortunately a great number of the dishes on the menu were "no longer" available at 8 pm . The starters were very ordinary, pre-cooked pulled "crab" salad that had a very strong very strange taste. The dip (sauce) served with the bags was absolutely tasteless, the rice was cold already when served. The main dish - " fresh fish of the day" was not dorade or sole or bar as one might expect on the Atlantic coast - it turned out to be salmon, again rather the canned version. We told the waiter, who was really friendly and committed, what we really thought. After all he asked as the French do "ça a été ?" A minute later the patron /cook approached us in a pretty rude manner... Instead of being grateful for an honest and qualified feedback. Definitely no...

Wonderful food. Service was fine. There was only a couple of people in, we went early! So atmosphere was non-existent with the other couple of people! But there was a fair bit of singing from the waiter which made a great difference. Will certainly return the next time...

The food was really good and the staff was really friendly. We went to Thailand so we know what a good Pad Thai tastes like and it was better than some of the Pad Thai in Thailand. Thank you very much for a nice dinner in La Rochelle! Hopefully we can come...
