The Jolly Sailor — Restaurant in La Rochelle

Soccer match on Sky sports was a request for my son. Margo booked our preferred table opposite the tv at the back and noted the match on our booking.

When we arrived on 25/08/2025 the guy working there was brilliant (green polo shirt, sorry I didn't get your name!) Brought exactly what we asked for (burgers, fish & chips, very tasty!)

No rush to get us to move on and allowed the boys to watch the whole match. Reasonably priced, very easy going and welcoming. Everyone in the bar seemed happy and smiling. Hard working...

We came when they had happy hour. No food. We came because of the reviews on google were positive. We would agree that this place is a good place to relax for a beer or two. Prices for a pint in happy hour $7-8. Outside happy hour pint costs $8-10. The beers are two thumbs up. Stout was great alcohol content 4.5%. The aged cider 8.5% tasted fantastic. Service was on par as reviews...

Had breakfast here and it was in a lovely location by the harbour, where you were able to watch the world go by. There was a large selection of dishes to choose from which were well cooked, presented and tasty. The staff were very nice.
