Aromebase — Restaurant in Lille

Arguably the best modern French restaurant in Lille where you don’t have to break the bank to enjoy a Michelin like quality meal. We came for lunch, and love the fact that you can mix and match from the formula menu or go ala carte according to your preference of land or sea flavour of the season.

Not a big fan of dessert, so we went for the lunch formula (entre & plat at €23) and added from the ala carte menu the scallops (€13). It was the best decision ever to take 2 entres this way. Everything we had was totally on point from flavour, texture and presentation. Can’t stop raving about the scallops and cream of mushroom soup… it was beyond delicious!

Meal ended with a complimentary financiers that we enjoyed with coffee. The service is top class, they were extremely courteous, helpful, attentive and they didn’t hurry us to leave the restaurant even after lunch service was done.

Definitely a MUST go when in Lille.

Always a pleasure to eat here. The changing menu is always a delight to discover and the plates well presented with expertly prepared courses. Most of all the service is excellent.

Easily the best place in this part of town that we like to eat at before catching a film at the UGC cinema round the corner. It feels a crime to rush through 4 fantastic courses so quickly but there is enough time from 19h, just, to catch a late showing of a film afterwards. Be sure tell them and they are very accommodating. The courses are well balanced and just the right portion so we (me at least!) can remain alert and awake through a 3 hour...

The best rated restaurant of Lille and I completely understand now ! We feel the precise research to create an interesting menu which could offers new experience to the customer and it's translated in the different courses which are very tasteful !
