By far our worst restaurant experience on our road trip. We were charging nearby and thought it would be a good place to grab some dinner.

The Truffle Mac&Cheese advertised as “cheesy” didn’t have any cheese(and taste), just neutral Béchamel.

The Fish and Chips was maybe 10 sad fries and one glorified fish stick.

But the worst thing was that my wife and my mum ordered a salad with smoked trout. But there was no trout to be found. There was no info given from the waiter that the most valueable ingredient was missing.

We informed them that there was no fish but they acted like it’s how it’s supposed to be. So we thought it might have been a translation error on our part. But we checked again and confirmed there was supposed to be fish. So we asked again nicely and were then told the fish was out.

To be fair, we were offered some chicken but it wasn’t an option for us.

I was already out to catch fresh air so my wife paid the bill. I was shocked to learn that we were charged the full price of 16,50€ per salad despite the missing key ingredient.

Delicious food and quick friendly service!

We stopped by Au Bureau | Roncq in August 2023 on our way from Paris airport to Gent. It was our first meal in France and the restaurant didn't disappoint! From warm atmosphere and cozy interior to excellent food and precise service - everything was just great and we really enjoyed our visit! Thank you!

Appetizers: Flamm Chevre - fresh, warm, delicately tasting - couldn't stop! Goat Cheese Salad - so good, that we finished it in no time and I was even tempted to order one more :)

Mains: Burger with Goat Cheese - hearty, juicy, made medium-rare - exactly as ordered! Fish and Chips - fresh flakey fish, just how it should be.

Momo, the waiter, made this a fantastic experience. We have been lucky to have him as a waiter several times. The food is very good. Want to go back soon. Very good. Amazing Food, service. Everything. The food was customized with a smile from a friendly waiter. Relaxing to sit there. Good vibe. Flammenkuchen with egg, super tasty. The welsh, the best ever tried. Hard to choose dishes from a good meny. The steak was perfectly made. Everything we have had so far has been good. And they can customize the dishes without a problem. Plat de jour is also nice.
