Hi Côté Sushi,
I and my partner have been fans of you for awhile, until today.
We always loved your fusion concept and the quality of your food. Each time we came, we always left satisfied with a belly full of quality food.
Today, we ordered a few dishes to share together for two as usual. The staffs were friendly. The food was quickly prepared as always. But when they arrived, their appearance told me something wasn’t right:
The salmon sashimi was pale with a very thin layer of fatty water on the surface that usually only happens for sashimi that has stayed outside for awhile.
We also took a set of Côté California. Some rolls has avocado inside and I can spot right away the avocado pieces in dark brown color. The veggies rolls in this set also has avocado sauce on top, and the sauce is really dark. It’s not the first time we take this set, and it’s the color of avocado that has been exposed longtime outside so they got oxidized and darken. Really I’ve never seen sushi that served with such kind of quality so far especially in France and it just really put me off from eating.
So we decided to eat them anyway and another surprise came. These rolls were so cold and dried that shouldn’t be at all the case for freshly made sushi. To be honest I feel quite offensive to be served with the meal we got today. I don’t know if it’s a set that has been left over from your lunch time today, or even the previous days that you didn’t manage to sell. And the sashimi, just as I expected from the look, wasn’t fresh at all that I was even afraid I could get sick from it. They were soft, pale with the taste of unfresh fish.
Also, among all of the dishes that we ordered, none of them came with any piece of wasabi. So we had to ask the staff to give us some, and then what arrived is a generous bowl in quantity of wasabi but not at all the kind of quality we used to have. Usually it’s the thick paste of wasabi in a lively green color that has a distinct taste of wasabi even just from a little pinch. The one today is a watery paste in a pale green that barely has any taste. Really we don’t expect any of that especially for the price that we paid.
Honestly I don’t know what happens with your operation and if you are trying to cut cost but if this keeps being the case, I think you might loose more of your loyal customers.

Read morefirst of all the food was absolutely amazing, the kitchen was impeccable props to all the kitchen staff. keeping the name of waiter number anonymous for his safety and wellbeing .when we walked in the server was very unprofessional nowards us, as if we were begging him for money, then he seated us in a table that was dirty and proceeded to cover the chairs in the food after wiping it off. when we sat down he gave us empty cups and thats it. no water jug no tissues no chopsticks. then i had to ask the waiter to bring us a soy sauce bottle instead of the empty one we had on our table, he then offered us 3 little bottles like the one in the pictures. honestly waiter number 2 after him was much better and much friendlier. This experience was ruined by waiter number 1, also i dont know his name cause he introduced himself rather that the chef cooked our food and noticed the waiter left it on the kitchen window for more than 20 minutes. so he proceeded to walk out the kitchen to yell his name from downstairs cause he went to the upstairs (also when we walked in he told us the upstairs area was unavailable cause i assumen he didn't wanna keep going upstairs to serve us). honestly the place deserved a better review no thanks to...

Both times I was served by Theo who was very friendly and gave really good service despite me not knowing any French. When I came the first time I asked what was the difference between the regular and the large size and without me asking, he went to grab both bowls so I could see the difference.
The quality of the food seems really high, the salmon seemed fresh and were quite large pieces. The overall flavour was great and both times I was provided plenty of soya sauce, ginger amd wasabi, the chopsticks even feel nice quality compared to my usual chopsticks at a fast food restuarant.
