So we arrived at the small restaurant which was fully booked sonthey sent us to the bigger version of the restaurant round the corner. Same food price and name just bigger. The food was good and my waiter a young French guy called louie was pretty great as well. But as the food is cheap there are a lot of drunk people in there who make the place feel chaotic. It's also very loud. Not very romantic atmosphere and I was with my girlfriend. As we went to leave the man doing the seating jumps in front of my girlfriend shouting at us something in French. My girlfriend is german/Portuguese and I'm irish/german. We have both lived all over the world and have our own business in germany. He was shouting and very aggressive blocking the door saying we must pay, I only realised this once he switched to English. He then checked the wrong table and tried to make us pay again for someone else's food. But I told him I have already paid and given a 10percent tip. I had to say we are leaving now don't touch us as he was so aggressive. Making all types of angry gestures. Then he realised the mistake and left us with no apology. Even though we are very successful business owners, we are young with lots of tattoos and I think he judged us based on our appearance. Pretty much ruined the night. Very...
Read moreWe came here on a hotel recommendation. Admittedly, it wasn’t easy to find the right restaurant at first. All of them on the street seemed to have similar names, which was a bit confusing - haha
Once we finally arrived, the staff immediately prepared a table for us outside. The restaurant was consistently busy, which is usually a very good sign.
If you’re looking for authentic local and regional cuisine, this is definitely the place. I can highly recommend the horse flank steak – it was excellent!
Side dishes don’t need to be ordered separately: fries are included, and you can have as many as you like. You can always ask for a refill, which is such a great system. I think we ordered fries three or four times! They also served us salt and fresh homemade mayonnaise quickly upon request. You’ll definitely leave full and satisfied.
Unfortunately, we had no room left for dessert. Maybe the wide selection of delicious local beers had something to do with that!
The service staff was fantastic; super friendly, full of energy, and very quick.
The prices were absolutely fair, and everything went smoothly without long waiting times.

Read moreI walked into the restaurant on Tuesday without a reservation. The waiter told me I had one hour to eat, and I accepted. I ordered the beef tongue and Flanders stew. The beef tongue was okay, though a bit salty. However, the Flanders stew was clearly overcooked and very tough to chew. It was also extremely salty.
While I was eating, the waiter kept implying that I should eat faster, but the overcooked beef stew made that nearly impossible. After returning from the restroom, the waiter told me I either had to check right now or move to the bar to continue my "battle" with the overcooked stew. At that point, I decided to end the torture and asked for the check.
To my surprise, the waitress still asked if I would leave a tip for what was clearly a disastrous meal. Come on, this is a fairly priced restaurant in France, not the USA. I do not recommend...
