L'Imaginaire — Restaurant in Lille

Came here for drinks after dinner. The bar was flexible with our orders, made me a custom cocktail, but the cocktails were abit light on alcohol. Ambiance wise, it wasn't the most pleasant. The whole place smells of smoke. We only later realised because it was connected to a terrace (where they allowed smoking), but the terrace is covered (due to the cold), and hence the smoke diffused to the interior. They should have kept the connecting door (to the terrace) closed at all times.

Nice place with a huge and peacefull terrasse that you can easily miss even when you know it's there, because the entrance is quite small. And after having several lunches and diners on small tables on sidewalks (even in pedestrian streets), a real terrasse is very valuable. Besides, this place is good for detox, they offer more healthier meals than in the rest of the area (try to find a Cesar salad around and you'll understand what I mean). Je déconseille, très peu professionnel.

J’étais déjà venue auparavant car je trouvais l’endroit sympa, et leur salades bonnes.

Je m’y rends avec mon copain pour lui faire découvrir, au final on se retrouve avec une araignée dans sa salade et pour ma part, un insecte écrasé assez conséquent (visiblement bien ancré dans la sauce). Je suis incapable de finir ma salade après cette malheureuse découverte. Bienveillants, nous décidons après notre repas d’en notifier une serveuse (avec preuve), sans demander quoique ce soit, simplement pour les prévenir.

Elle nous demande pourquoi on ne l’a pas prévenu avant (simple à dire), que c’était peut-être un insecte de l’extérieur etc.

Au final elle nous propose vaguement un café, nous dit qu’elle va voir ce qu’elle peut faire mais revient avec cette même notion de « c’est peut-être pas nous ».

On attend, rien, au final ils ne veulent rien faire et nous laissent partir en payant, pas un au revoir ou quoique ce soit.

Ils nous ont juste évité.

Un bon restaurant ne t’ignore pas pour éviter une perte de chiffre ou un dessert gratuit, il communique et te considère.
