We visited the hotel's famous Le Dome bar for heavy hors d'oeuvres on Easter Sunday.
We started with a few hand-crafted cocktails, including the signature Le Dome, an homage to the city's pink pralines, and a classic spicy bloody mary.
We chose the Trilogy of Savory Delight to accompany the cocktails and were impressed with a three-tiered presentation of the snacks, reminiscent of our high tea treats in Zürich the prior weekend. Adding a salad and nuts with olives to round out our soiree. It was a very pleasant experience. The staff recommended a chardonnay to go with the food after our cocktails were gone.
The staff was extremely attentive but gave us privacy throughout our time there.
The space of Le Dome is really stunning. The craftsmanship many centuries ago stands the test of time. The InterContinental Hotel has added modern features to give the space a high degree of class without detracting from the art.

The cocktails themselves are admittedly expensive - but you’re not paying for just a cocktail- but wonderful; the Dome cocktail is delicious! I highly recommend trying it.
Overall a good experience. Undoubtedly there are one or two issues to iron out - the same with all new places - but not enough to deduct a star and Le Dôme left a good impression;...

The crew consists of a bunch of young, awkwardly dressed and inexperienced waiters; the decoration seems to be designed with the aim to convey a cosy, intimate atmosphere but it conflicts completely with the 30m high ceilings; no dj, not spotify playlist not even a radio sound; the many waiters dressed in their weird attire are running all over the place but they ignore you during long minutes after you sat; they bring some (cheap) snacks long after your drink order has arrived . And then, in the middle of discussion with your date, one of them will come and interrupt you to whisper suavely in your ear: "tout se passe bien Monsieur?" as if they had not clearly shown that they couldn't care less. Misery of Lyon...
