Le Melhor — Restaurant in Lyon

I’m not quite sure of the vibe they’re trying to go for in here. At first it gives off the appearance of a classic club lounge of sorts but when you look at it further it does seem a bit tacky, there is a horrendous club singer singing live over what I can only describe as a karaoke machine. The layout strikes as odd as there are three chairs to each table even with most of the clientele being couples, the problem this creates is there are loads of actual seats but no where to sit - why not move some? The service is okay but I feel that they should move people to maximise the people that can be allowed in, there was one guy spread over 3 seats by the window and people being turned away at the door as there wasn’t anywhere to sit. The Good— The view. The service is simply unparalleled. Live music on the weekends. Reminiscent of the luxury lounges found in NYC.

Not So Good — Pricey. Some might find the beverage card to be limited. You could experience long wait times.

Verdict — If you’re looking for a comfortable lounge to take in the views of the Rhône with the illuminated Université Lumière, and Le Crayon (Tour Part-Dieu) in the near distance, Le Melhor is a must. The seating by the windows are on a first come first serve basis, so expect to wait if you do not arrive early.

Une adresse presque confidentielle, et pourtant située aux yeux de tous. Seulement il n'est pas commun de se dire d'aller boire un verre dans un hôtel au dernier étage, lorsque l'on y dors pas. Ici donc, ce bar très chic, ce situe au dernier étage de l'hôtel Sofitel.

Une fois monté, le barmaid ou le responsable de salle très sympatique et très pro, vous installe, dans un calme et une chaleureuse ambiance incomparable. Une fois installé dans l'un des somptueux fauteuils vêtus de velours rouge, vous ouvrez alors les yeux en tournant légèrement le regard... Et voici la plus belle vue des bars de Lyon !

Panoramique, grande ouverture, elle donne directement sur tout le centre de Lyon. C'est absolument magnifique, et en devient presque magique, quand vous dégusterez un de ces fameux cocktails dont ils ont le secret, la nuit tombée, avec les petites lumières de la ville qui feront briller vos yeux, comme vos verres. Les prix sont en effet ceux d'un vrai bar à cocktails, mais restent correctes. On vous amènera aussi quelques apéritifs salés pour accompagner votre expérience de détente et de somptueux plaisir. Ne vous y tromper pas, ou peut aussi y déguster de très bons vins, et la carte interactives est vraiment une excellente idée.

Pourquoi ne pas aller continuer cette expérience, en allant dans le restaurant juste à coté, lui aussi avec une vue imprenable ? Bref, un bar réservé à ceux qui aiment les bonnes choses, pour se détendre, et passer un moment unique pour en mettre plein les yeux, seul ou accompagné par vos amis, avec Madame, ou pour...
