We came here for brunch and left genuinely disappointed. We understood from the beginning that each person had to order the 26 € menu, and we accepted that. The issue wasn’t the price or the rule, but the service and attitude.
We don’t speak French, and although we tried to translate the menu ourselves, the staff made no effort to help. The waiter spoke only in French, even when it was obvious we didn’t understand. We also made a clear effort to communicate with the waiter, but he seemed disinterested and showed no willingness to understand us at all. It set the tone for an unwelcoming experience.
All the food arrived at once, making it clear the priority was turning tables quickly rather than offering a relaxed brunch. When we asked for a small amount of maple syrup, we were later charged 1,50 € without being informed beforehand. We didn’t refuse to pay, but we were surprised, and any good restaurant would have mentioned it.
We asked to take the leftover pancakes with us. What we received was carelessly wrapped aluminum foil, squeezed together and folded into a makeshift handle. It felt disrespectful and completely unnecessary.
What’s more disappointing is the owner’s public response to feedback: defensive, exaggerated, and unprofessional. Instead of listening, they chose to accuse guests of bad behavior.
We didn’t argue, we didn’t complain on-site, and we certainly weren’t asking for anything for free. We were simply treated poorly and then blamed for it afterward.
That says more about the restaurant than it...
Read moreThis morning we happened upon this delightful little brunch spot. I'm gluten, lactose, and nut free and most places do not accommodate those needs. I was excited to see the menu had gluten and lactose free options. We walked in and we're immediately welcomed by friendly staff. The prefixe brunch was incredible and the kind and helpful server made sure to check with the kitchen and confirm that nuts were not in the flour for pancakes. She also offered substitutions - avocado instead of cheese. I was overwhelmed by the kind and accommodating service. The fresh and delicious food was the best gluten free breakfast food I've ever enjoyed. My family did not have to order gluten free and were equally impressed with their brunch. My husband enjoyed the Frenchie and my son and daughter were wowed by the Burger pancakes! I enjoyed delicious eggs and bacon piled on top of a mountain of fluffy pancake perfection - this is hard to create with gluten free batter, but they were fluffy and delicious! I highly recommend this as a great brunch spot. And if you are gluten and lactose free, this is a must stop for brunch in Lyon! The service and food was the best we have...
Read moreService was okay.. interior of the cafe was also nice. Extremely crowded and hot. Not recommended to sit inside especially in the summer. Outside needs to be booked.
Now the food. I don’t know where to start. It was horrible. I ordered the “brunchi”. The salmon was extremely fishy. The pancake was dry, bitter and thick. The avocado was old. And the egg was so rare, I don’t even eat eggs that are made rare but I didn’t know cause they didn’t even ask me ! The hygiene of the restaurant is horrible, the bottle which holds tap water was murky and old, the cafe is literally dog friendly, no hate towards dogs but your literally eating all that with dog saliva near you ! Truly expected more from this cafe especially cause it has a good reputation on tik tok. Well I guess not anyone can run a...
