Ben Mouture — Restaurant in Marseille

I recently visited this coffeshop that had good coffee and a cozy atmosphere, but unfortunately, the service from the owner left a sour taste in my mouth. Throughout my stay, the owner repeatedly asked me if I wanted to order something else, which became increasingly annoying and disruptive to my experience. But what really put me off was when he told me that I had to order more things or go because I was using electricity ( charging my mac).

I found this to be quite rude and off-putting. As a paying customer, I didn't appreciate being pressured to spend more money, especially when I had already ordered my husband and I enough (1 coffee+ 1 matcha latte+ soup+ sandwich with salade= 18euros ).

Despite the owner's pushy behavior, I would still recommend this place for its cozy ambiance and coffee. However, I would caution other people that are looking for a place to work and stay more than 45min, its not the place you...

All-in-all a great experience. Great specialty coffee (had espresso and cappucino) with decent prices, nicely designed interior and very pleasant atmosphere. Tourist-friendly as staff was communicative. Good place for work, as we saw a lot of people with notebooks during working hours. Terrace is greatly solved: it is basically interior (but no doors or gate separating it from the street), which means it is shielded from the wind and rain, yet with fresh air and seperated from interior by glass wall - see through...

Tucked away in a street away from the portuary hubble, Ben Mouture appears as an intergenerational space where residents and tourists come to hide away for a few moments.

There was no A/C in the month of July, but the temperature was bearable inside (around high 20's).
