I have always been skeptical about the concept of small plates, and I chose Les Rigoles only because a friend had recommended it. This restaurant put to rest any skepticism and surpassed any expectations. Les Rigoles embraces the cultural capital of Marseille, presenting its guests with a well curated, bold and creative menu, one that illustrates well the truly Mediterranean feel of the city. However, it also contrasts heavily with the fast and chaotic pace of it. This is a place where the food is meant to be ordered and savoured in a slow fashion, accompanied by a vast wine menu. It is hard to find words that would do the food justice, but there is one that especially comes to mind - balance. As the dishes rolled out, one after the other, it was obvious to me how ingredients paired, waltzing together in my palate. It takes two to dance, and as such, the sweetness in the dishes was accompanied by a savoury pair. The spice level was perfect, creating the ideal temperature for this dance to flourish, in a delicate but also powerful way. My final dance at Les Rigoles (the dessert) had a note of Rosemary that I cannot explain, but that will be engraved in my memory for perpetuity. While the food was the star of the show, I also want to praise all the staff who were so patient and attentive, trying their best to explain every dish, as well as helping with the wine selection. I cannot recommend Les Rigoles enough!

Great experience in this new trendy place. Anyone will find their happiness on the varied menu. The plates we shared were absolutely delicious, felt very homey, while always with a creative twist. Even the bread was excellent. The staff was friendly, very welcoming and gave us great wine recommendations. We came as a group of 4 and we all had a great time and agreed we’d definitely come back. Can only recommend!

If I could I’d give 4.5 stars for the food. It is very good but of the four dishes we had two were excellent, one was very good and the raw fish dish was alas a bit of a bust (to much cream). But overall the experience was lovely. The food is seasonal and fresh and delicious. The staff and atmosphere warm, lively and welcoming. Les Rigoles is definitely worth a detour.

We were a party of 3 with a kid and we had an amazing experience. Everyone is nice and professional, the service is quick without feeling rushed and the food - oh my God the food is so good! Delicious, light and flavorful, and very well presented. My child ate everything that was offered to him, and I'm not even exaggerating when I say that my partner and my 4yo child were literally competing to finish the dessert which was a crumble ! I'd definitely recommend this...
