It’s a Vietnamese noddle shop , combined with the banhmi shop.
Friendly staff, attentive and willing to try. They asked a few time on how things are. So do looks like they care.
Having lived in Vietnam prior I have tasted quite a bit of Vietnamese food. With the French connection to Vietnam and the population my expectation was higher.
The beef pho (noodle) I had, with good quality beef (tender) and beef balls, a bit more meat for the price of 14/5 euro would be nice.
The broth (the soup) needs more time to get the taste richer. Now is a bit bland, needs a richer soup. To save it I need to mix the lime/chilli and fish sauce to make it good.
The biggest problem is the noodle, it’s way too thick and chewy. Authentic one is much softer. Need re sourcing for that.
We also had a bowl of mix noddle. The spring roll was nice. And overall was good for that. It’s hard to be wrong as it’s cold noddle / mix with veggie and sauce only.
On the wall some deco. Mindful some of the pics are showing Japanese ramen and Chinese. Very common setting in Europe to mix it all up. Try replace with Vietnamese pic only. It’s like have Italian / German pics in a French Resturant people know you are not authentic.
Overall the shop can be improved with a few small twist. I hope they can try to maximize...
Read moreAs we entered the place, we were welcomed by a cheerful waitress which made the dining experience much better. She was also quite friendly and polite which was great. The food itself was pretty good. I really enjoyed their soup, it was really rich and flavours and it paired really well with the tender meat and the thicker noodles. I do feel like however that for 15 euro, the portiom is really small. I was excited when I saw the size of the bowl but when I saw that only half of it was filled, I was a bit...
