First of all, good burger. We arrive about 8:30 pm on the 26th. We ask the waiter in French if he talks English, he answered a little bit. He gives us the menucard in English. I am a chéf and can to some extent read the French menu, which we allready had on the board before entering the seating area. We order a plate of charcuterie, a burger, still water and a bottle of wine. The water comes to the table right away. Then we wait.... soon after the food comes, a burger for me and a sausage for my girlfriend.... a sausage! We tell this to the waiter and then we wait for the charcuterie to arrive the table. Still no wine... the right dish comes and soon after I ask the waiter about the wine? He answer "You want chardonnay?" I tell him that we just want the wine we ordered, that was not a chardonnay. I tell him that it's getting a little late now. He replied "You want mayonnaise?" I say forget it, and take the third last bite of my burger thinking we never get the wine. But! - then the wine comes. It's not open, so I say to the waiter that brought the wine, that we are just about finished with the food and at this point there's no reason to open the wine. The waiter with the wine was really service minded and offered a discount on the wine. We explain to him about the wrong food and the waiting and how it would be pointless to have wine now. He understand and takes the wine back and when we ask for the bill, we see a discount on the bill. Good service from that one waiter. The others seemed out of balance and we also noticed problems from some of the other tables. And last, it would be a really good idea to serve some butter with the bread. And to have salt in the grinders... We tried three different ones without any salt in them. Kind regards Thomas, headchéf and hotel manager on...
Read moreThe worst waiter of all time. Completely ignored us for 30 minutes while we repeatedly flagged him down to order additional drinks as well as the dessert which was meant to come with my 3 year old nephew’s meal. Every other table around us was well attended, meanwhile it took 30 minutes for a single drink, and we never had the chance to order the ice cream, which we paid for, because the waiter refused to come to our table. I spoke French with him the whole time, but he would only reply in English to me until he felt fit to yell at me that he had other tables to attend - that he could say in French. Our table also needed to be attended, but he refused to do so. What a wretched...
Read moreWe arrived on a cold, wet evening. One of our group is a wheelchair user and we were pleased there was a ramp. Staff said hello but I think there should have been a warmer greeting and that we should have been shown where we could hang our coats. The sommelier was very good in sorting out an incorrect order taken by a female server who showed little interest in listening in us, and was very cool. The food was decent but overpriced for such simple dishes. When we left, again there was very little connection with the staff and overall, given the menu prices, it needed one person to show the customers a real welcome and solicitation on leaving both...
