Wow! This was an unexpected big lunch, just because things looked really good when I entered. I was worried it was on break, but was relieved to find out it wasn’t. Had some oysters and then a small bowl of mussels. Maybe it’s my lack of Moules experience, but I liked how it was steamed and then the cream sauce was poured on them, because I could then have a choice of enjoying the mussels without the cream. Then had their dish of the day, which was steak. Couldn’t finish it, but wished I could. Oh, they gave me some olive tapenade and crusty little bread thingies and they were good! Loved all their bread, and the food! I still cannot figure out how they did the fries. Not a huge fan of fries in general, but still loved the few I had (was warm, nice texture and shape!). While I was here, i also ordered their cafe gourmand and it came with three desserts and a choice of coffee. Loved that there was a scoop of ice cream, and warm brownie with walnuts! The mini crepe was warm as well. Overall, would love to return! Was a pleasant surprise during my wandering abouts in the streets of Montpellier! ❤️ tout est si délicieux! (I cannot speak French, but they were srill very accommodating! Merci beaucoup)

L’Arlequin is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for a treat. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a cozy yet elegant feel. The service was excellent—attentive without being intrusive, and the staff were genuinely friendly. Now, let’s talk about the food. The wine selection was fantastic, offering a great variety to suit any palate. Every sip was a delight! But the real star of the meal was the salad—easily one of the best I’ve ever had in my life. Fresh, perfectly balanced flavors, and beautifully presented. It was clear that high-quality ingredients and attention to detail went into every bite. Everything about this dining experience was top-notch. If you’re looking for a place that delivers incredible food, great wine, and impeccable service, L’Arlequin is a must-visit.

Beautiful setting and filling food is about as much good I can say. Now I wouldn't say terrible, I've eaten at worse places, but not necessarily a place I would recommend for good food. I ordered a Texan burger however when ordering I wasn't asked how I liked the meat cooked. Oh dear. As soon as that happened I wasn't expecting much good.

In the interim I was given some tapenade and bread. The tapenade was delicious. I would go back just for the tapenade. Shortly after finishing that the burger came out. Lots of salad: good. Burger was oozing grease and the chips were served in a mini frying basket: not good. There's a reason why the invention of the plate hasn't been replaced.

The burger was advertised with BBQ sauce which I was looking forward to. A nice rich sweet but slightly hot sauce. I'm afraid I can't comment as it was presented as a slight smear on the corner of the plate and the few bits of sauce I got onto my tongue was disappointing to say the least. One knife plunge was all it took for the burger to release a cascade of grease, flooding the immediate plate area. The meat itself was bland and unseasoned.

The only redeeming factor of the food were the fried onions, the salad and the dressing that was doused on top.

I can't call the meal unpleasant at all however. The staff were very friendly, had a laugh with them and very welcoming. The food was the downside. In a restaurant...

Me and my familie went eating here (six people). We got our dishes separately and 3 of didn't even get a main dish! Furthermore one of us got a glass that was half broken. And, other people who came later than we dus got their dish earlier!

When we told the staff kindly that half of us didn't get a dish they didn't even said something. They did not apologise nor did they of any kind compromise our bad experience.

We paid a lot for food that didn't come at the same time. Furthermore it wasn't what we ordered!!

We would rate this as a very bad restaurant as a result of the bad service, the long waiting and the bad food!

There was literally only one thing that was okay and that was a small piece of tuna.

If you like to eat at the same time and you would like to eat SOMETHING within the hour that you ordered, you should...
