Bollywood Lollywood — Restaurant in Nice

Our visit to Bollywood Lollywood was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had in a long time. From the moment we arrived, the service was off — the waiter we were served by was incredibly rude and seemed irritated by even basic questions.

The food was equally disappointing. The mattar paneer had no paneer at all — just a bowl of peas in a bland sauce. The chana masala was burnt, and when we politely pointed this out, the waiter responded by shouting at us, rather than apologising or offering to fix it. It was completely unprofessional and honestly quite shocking.

Several other dishes were overcooked or charred, and the overall quality was far below what anyone should expect at a restaurant claiming to serve authentic Indian food.

What’s worse is that it’s clear this place is targeting tourists, serving them substandard food under the guise of Indian cuisine, banking on the assumption that they won’t know any better. As people familiar with proper Indian food, this was not just disappointing — it was insulting.

There was no care in the cooking, no pride in the service, and absolutely no hospitality. We won’t be returning, and I’d recommend others look elsewhere if they’re hoping for a genuine, respectful...

I went for lunch the waiter and owner was horrible. I was looking the menu and ordered for starter and beer , the waiter and he is the owner shouted at me and explained that it’s a restaurant you need to order more. He was rude and don’t know how to behave with the customer. It’s my humble request please don’t visit there , even I will not recommend to my enemies to visit that worst place. This type of worst experience never happened in my lifetime. I am from New Zealand and I am travel around the world and he trying to convince me and explain to me that in France people are like that, I don’t believe him because I saw the French people is so friendly and helpful. He tried to give bad impression about France and French people and their culture. He himself might be from Pakistan, India Bangladesh etc. or in some parts of Asia what I felt and as a foreigner ruining the integrity of the country. He should know that this beautiful country and it’s peoples given him the great opportunity to live and doing business in their country. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. To start with , the waiter was racist and literally did not want us there and made it extremely clear. He was warm to people of white skin tone and made us feel like we were beneath him and not paying for the food and he was doing us a favour. It is astonishing to see that even in a place of France people serve you according to your skin tone. He didn’t give us a complimentary dish and said we had to order it ( it didn’t exist on the menu !!) but give it to another table of lighter skin tone!! He seated us and didn’t take our order for 20 mins and after 20 minutes kicked us out as the restaurant was about to close! By that time it was 2:30 and all restaurants around were shut and we didn’t know where else we could eat. He told us that it’s not our house and we can’t walk in as we please and treated us with no respect. Worst experience ever. I’ve visited several RI countries but have never been treated like this.
