Today May 1st we booked it and paid accordingly. We were 5 and it was super rainy.
Lots of other trains were covered and had windows, ours just the cover (it allowed for windows but were not installed).
We took our spots in row 1 and 2 (3+2) as each row allowed for 4 people. In row 2, 3 out 4 earplugs did not work… I let go.
Once we drove to the summit with the bus we were allowed for 10min outside for sightseeing.
Surprisingly the bus driver took money from outsiders that wanted to go back avoiding the rain. He was going to squeeze us and did not care. Did he take money in his pocket? On behalf of the organization? Who knows
When people came back from sightseeing spots were taken including the ones of our group.
We came back squeezed 5 people in 4 spots due to this.
A lady from a tourist group had the same situation and started screaming. Nobody put things in order creating an unnecessary chaos.
Bus driver did not care at all and let things happen just playing dumb (‘’sir spots are not reserved, put the volume louder or put another channel’). I stated ‘we paid to have 5 spots and listen to city tour guide. He understood perfectly.
Coming back, a family decided to step down in the middle of the way, although I believe it is not allowed, and dropped their kid first in the street during a red light. The train started again and left the kid behind. Luckily we started screaming and the bus driver stopped.
Less than 30min tour and money wasted on an unsafe scam. Am sure somebody else had good experience but this is meant to avoid any more people having an accident or...
Read moreI would highly recommend not spending your money here. We had purchased a ticket for the 2:40pm. We got in line as one of the first people and about 5 min. after, a group of loud and obnoxious people crowd the entry way of where we were standing. They continued to inch closer and closer as if the closer they got the better chance they would at getting seats, yet we had been there first. That would not have been that big of a deal and I could of let that go until the group started yelling at us to go to the back of the line say their group was first. First off they did not have tickets, a lady was still standing at the counter purchasing their tickets. Second we had arrived first. Then the cake was topped with a cherry when the train conductor ushered us and the couple in front of us back to the tickets counter letting all the group people board the train first. As they departed the group waved back and laughed as if to rub it in our faces that they had gotten on the train before us. I was shocked at the disrespect and the fact the people of the company let it happen. I proceeded to go to the ticket counter to ask what had happened, he said back to us you can get on the next train or get a refund. No explanation, no apology. Not to us or the couple who had been screwed over as well. We decided to get a refund and not give this company our money for how we were treated. The couple in front of as...
Read moreBe aware that the little train of Nice no longer goes up the hill to the old castle where there is the wonderful and iconic viewing point.😫 This used to be, one of the must-do-things-to-do in Nice! Despite still saying on it's website that it stops at landmarks and viewing points! But not only does the little train NOT go up to the castle, but it doesn't make any stops now at interesting landmarks where you can get off and take photographs.😥 It is purely a loop trip around low level Nice with a decent guided tour (in English)about places of historical interest, difficult to take photos of them on a swaying train!🤔 OK - but if you want to go up to the lovely old castle site for the glorious views over Nice and the bay, then you must use the free😀 elevator - the ascentuer - which is not very well signposted, but does take you most of the way up I wonder why the little train has changed it's route...
