We went to grab some food before leaving for the airport. After waiting roughly 15 minutes after being given a menu, a waitress arrived. My friend has a nut allergy, so when the waitress came to take our order we asked her to check if certain nuts were used in the kitchen. 10 minutes later the waitress returned after serving other people right in front of us. She came over to ask our order to which we asked what the response was about the nuts, she paused for a second and replied “no, we don’t use those”, from my experience, I can tell, she didn’t fine out. Her general attitude stunk and made us feel very uncomfortable. My friend placed her order and I asked for a Salade Niçoise, being in Noce, thought it would be quite a normal dish, but I asked for no anchovies, her response was that they cannot personalise it. Which to me says, they buy in one of their town delicacies, pre-made. I’m sorry, but a restaurant in a very well known part of the old town, buys in their Salade Niçoise, pre-made. We cancelled our food order and just got drinks. When going in to pay the bill, I was told a price. When given the receipt the two drinks on there, were not what was ordered, so I asked if the prices were all the same as these were two different drinks. The waitress replied with rolled eyes, “yes these are the same prices” Right there, with the eye rolling, lost her her tip. I awaited my change and left as quickly as I possible could.

Read moreI have been to cafes and restaurants all over Europe, the US, and North America and never in my life had an experience like I did here. I’ve never even left a negative review anywhere in my life, but I didnt know what else to do.
We were a party of 4 that came in for coffee and a dessert (there were many people here who just had a single coffee in front of them). I ordered first and asked for a cappuccino and some water for the table. Without asking the others he started getting mad that we would take a whole table for one cappuccino. I explained the rest of the table still had to order and so they did. Mind you - It was 3pm - so it’s not as if we were using a table during a peak time. There were plenty of tables empty. He brought us the dessert and the other things we ordered but still no water. Mind you, it was a very hot day in Nice and we were so thirsty. So, I reminded him we would please like 3 bottles of water. He was really really annoyed. He came out with one big bottle and proceeded to literally chuck the half water out of the bottle and have it spill all over the floor and hit one of us.
I understand things can get frustrating and busy, and it can be hard to deal with as a server. However, I want to stress i reminded him to bring the water really nicely, saying please and thank you, and was not rude at all. We just genuinely needed some water. I will never ever ever be back here and would caution others...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I went for some food. The waiter was a pleasant guy. However the food came and it was cold. We told the waiter this and he said he would put the food in the microwave. We were not happy about this and said we did not want the food to be reheated. About 5 minutes later the owner appeared and started making remarks about us being English and saying no one else complained about the food. He said that usually we should pay for the food but he will let us off. He continued to intimidate us until we left. The waitress also tries to argue that it is standard practice to cook the food in the morning and reheat the food throughout the day. Therefore the customer service was shocking. I have never been intimidated so badly for something a company has done wrong. Surely if they are serving food it should at least be hot. Additionally there was no apology and we were made to feel as if we were responsible....
