Gina — Restaurant in Nice

We came here for dinner and were excited about the food since we heard it was good. We arrived at close to 10pm when they close at 10:30 and were told we needed to order immediately because the kitchen was closing so we did. The waiter did not write down our order and as someone taking care of 10-20 tables, this was a bit concerning but we let it go since he repeated our order before leaving. We also asked for a drinks menu in order to order cocktails and the waiter never came back and only took our drink order once we waved him down. It took some time but once we got the food, we saw that one of the items in the order was wrong immediately as it had meat and we were all vegetarian. He tried to gaslight us and tell us that we order that pizza because it’s what he put into our order (which he clearly put in wrong). Then a different waitress tried to convince us we ordered said wrong item and when we told her we didn’t and it’s not our fault he didn’t write down the right order, she came back with a different dish that someone else clearly had returned since the kitchen was already closed, and asked if we wanted that instead. We said no and they said there was nothing they could do because the kitchen was already closed. We asked for plates to share the other dishes and she said ok and then went to take a break and be on her phone. We had to just eat off the same plates. Additionally, we asked for a pitcher of tap water and they said that that was impossible even though the law in France states a restaurant must give you tap water if you ask for it. So we reluctantly ordered a bottle of water which cost ELEVEN euros. Completely illegal. The waiter then avoided us the rest of the night as he knew he was clearly the one who messed up. This restaurant isn’t cheap and although the food is good, we were very disappointed with the service. They brought us shots at the end after we paid only after we complained to a different waiter. I want to tell about my experience of visiting this restaurant. First time when I was here everything was perfect. We’ve been there with big company and had very sincere dinner. The food was brilliant , interior is very beautiful and fashionable, the waiter was very kind and good, she tried to be on time with everything even when the restaurant was completely full. Our friends who came to Nice were good impressed by our choice of restaurant for dinner. Then, my parents decided to book table in it for their wedding anniversary. I think that such events are very important. We booked table in the afternoon for 2 people at 20.00 o’clock inside and probably one hour later we decided to ask for table for 4 person . I tried to get in touch with restaurant and did it by WhatsApp. On my request they said: In case it will be rain in the evening they need to place tables from outside inside. I said that it is anniversary of my parents and it is very important dinner for us, maybe they can find table for 3 person . I think that it is really no problem, because only they need to do is to put one chair near the table. And when we were in the restaurant for the first time , people near us changed table and it was not problem , and I need to mention that that happened when restaurant was also fully completed. I have big regrets about this experience because they even didn’t propose another time for this day, or tried to solve this situation. They only said no and proposed to change day. I am deeply disappointed by the service I received at this establishment. From the moment we sat down, it was evident that the staff was disengaged and uninterested in providing a pleasant dining experience.

Unfortunately, the negatives continued to accumulate throughout the evening, leaving me with no choice but to give this place a one star.

Firstly, it is worth mentioning that upon arriving at our table, we were completely ignored by the waiter. It took an uncomfortably long 45 minutes for us to receive a drink menu, leaving us feeling neglected and overlooked. To make matters worse, we waited a whole hour for someone to take our dessert order, but no one ever came.

Our waiter, Tsotne, was particularly disappointing. His demeanor was apathetic and it seemed as though he had no interest in serving us. When we asked why he hadn't taken our order, he resorted to blaming technical issues with the computer but managed to take other customers order that had come in after usZ This excuse only further demonstrated his lack of accountability and professionalism.

To add insult to injury, I had to take matters into my own hands and approach a staff member to request our bill. This process alone took an additional 30 minutes, leaving us frustrated and neglected once again. Not once did anyone from the staff apologise for the excessive wait times or acknowledge the poor service we had endured.

Regrettably, I cannot recommend this establishment as a dining option. The subpar service, uninterested staff, and lack of accountability make it clear that this is not the place to go for an enjoyable meal. Save yourself the disappointment and seek out a more welcoming and customer-focused...
