For my GF’s birthday, I really wanted to do it right, but I knew I definitely needed professional help. A friend recommended Daniel and Diane at l’Ardoise restaurant. I met with them, but frankly the choices were bewildering and finally Diane said – Don't worry, leave all the details to me. She proposed a traditional Nicois menu and I agreed. Our venue was a gorgeous waterfront patio in the Port, and it required a good deal of carrying food, drink, supplies including lots of ice (I’m American). A throughly great meal at a moderate price: 67€. That was the best steak I have eaten lately.
