Monsieur Albert Masséna — Restaurant in Nice

BE AWARE!!! We ordered ONLY two small glasses of white wine ( it was a "Happy hour" = housewine 3 euros/glass.) No hotdogs were available?! When we asked... At the time we wanted to pay by cash young man (waiter) took 20 euros note with him (he was supposed to bring 14 euros change money). Time went by... we were waiting and nothing happened. So I wen't inside the restaurant to ask the change-money. The lady inside wanted me to pay more! I explaned that we allready gave 20 euros note to the waiter. That waiter denied everything and showed his "empty" pockets to the owner. When I told them, that I think, that it is robbery what they are trying and I want police right now here, the changemoney suddenly was found! That was a typical try to fool tourist. We discovered Monsieur Albert on Instagram, where the food looked absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, our experience did not live up to those expectations.

The hot dogs were rather average—edible, but nothing special in terms of taste. The fries were disappointing: not properly cooked, lukewarm, and far from crispy.

Beyond the food, the cleanliness of the establishment was a major issue. The place felt unkempt and unhygienic, which significantly affected our overall impression.

Thought I would get a great hotdog and fries from a restaurant that specializes in Hot Dogs. Wrong. First you would think the bun would be fresh and the dog would be above grocery store grade for starting at around 8 Euros. Nope . Basically grocery store quality dog or less plus this bun had to be a week old. They tried to freshen it but it was still horrible. I ordered sans moutard and got moutard. We ordered up the XXL fries and although they were hot and fresh there was a nice portion of tiny overdone pieces in the bowl. Overall I would never eat there again.
