We are visited POPOTE BISTROT for a late breakfast/early lunch, but unfortunately, our experience with the service was quite disappointing.
When we first walked in, we were still looking around for a table and hadn’t decided where to sit. At that moment, a waiter came up and, instead of greeting us politely, simply waved his finger and said “No, no,” in a rather unfriendly manner. We thought maybe it was our mistake for walking in before being seated, so we didn’t mind too much at first.
After finding a table, we looked through the menu and closed it once we were ready to order. We waited for a while, but no one came. When we finally waved and said “Excuse me,” the same waiter turned around and responded with “Hello, hello” in a dismissive tone. We smiled politely and said we wanted to order, but his reply was, “Can’t you see I have many customers right now? I’ll do my best.” We felt that a simple “Please wait a moment” would have been much kinder and more professional.
When it was time to place our order, the waiter spoke very quickly and seemed impatient, almost as if we were bothering him. This was our first time in this restaurant, so it was not easy to follow. The food, once served, was somewhat cold, though we didn’t expect too much at that point.
In the end, however, the person who came to handle the bill was a different staff member, and he was very polite and friendly. Even when the card machine didn’t work right away, he apologized sincerely and thanked us for visiting, which left a slightly better impression at the end of our meal.
Overall, while one staff member was kind, our experience with the main servers felt unwelcoming and...

They will help you find your way and give you advices on Nice and its area if you're looking for special things to do. You'll find the atmosphere quite pop and not so serious, ideal for holidays and for an unforgettable culinary experience.
The restaurant has a take away option too if you're in a hurry or on the move. Otherwise you can enjoy the shaded terrasse on a sunny day.
Make sure you try one of their Nutella specials if you're a fan of chocolate, their Rocher crêpe is to die for. For savoury treats make sure to try their Torticroust specials, a thick tortilla with fresh fills, cheese or chicken. Prices are very balanced, you can get around a whole meal with cider for around 12 euros.

Read moreDefinitely THE Spot to be eating at least once when visiting Nice, France. Their Crepes are their specialty and WOW are they delicious. The prices are great and the portions are HUGE. The food is incredible and the service does not fall behind. Everyone is very friendly and the owner is usually walking around. He seems to like interacting with everyone: locals and tourists alike. We got there and they made sure we were comfortable. The second time we went they sat us down on the outside part and noticed we were just a bit uncomfortable due to the sun and it being hot so they made it work and sat us on the inside. Make sure to check out their daily special. For us it was a breakfast type of Crepe and then a choice of ice cream, desert style crepe or some other stuff along with a drink. It was so good and we were not able to finish it on our own. The guacamole surprised me because usually guacamole is soggy and tastes weird but their guacamole was amazing as well.All-in-all such a great exoerience and Definitely...
