RACIST. I am not sure whether it is their policy or just one of their staffs is a fundamental racist, but it is surely one of the worst experiences I have ever had for three years of my stay in the European continent. I am an Asian so I know when someone behave in a racially-biased way and have had several experiences. However, it was so frustrating that I had to deal with this kind of nonsense as a paying customer who has done nothing wrong but politely asking for the product and paying the price. At first, it was a only suspicion that as my husband and I entered the place, one of their staffs visibly frowned and made a face that she was very irritated for some reason. When we ordered, she received the order with a big sigh. We thought it might have been due to our poor French, or she had a bad day. But when we went there again, the same staff greeted us with the same face, with a big sigh, even though we ordered simple things without a fuss. And today, when I entered the place, the staffs were arranging stuffs so I was waiting for them to do their stuffs first and get my order even though I was the only customer of the place. However, as soon as the other customer entered the place, the same staff greeted him first with a smile and got his order. He, kindly enough, realised that I was there first so, he told them that she should get my order first. But she responded as if it was nothing and intentionally ignored me. I really cannot understand what have I done so wrong for this staff to behave in such an offensive way and reject to serve me. Is it that frustrating to greet an Asian customer? Read moreFood was decent but the guy behind the counter was the most rude person I have ever met in my entire life. I had forgotten my wallet in the apartment just across the street so I sent my BF to go get it. Gone not even 5 minutes. This guy yelled at me to come up and pay for the food I got and when I told him (for the 3rd time) that my boyfriend ran to get my wallet her just rolled his eyes and muttered something in French under his breath. Then an older gentleman came in to get a loaf of bread and he kept telling the guy what he wanted and to not slice the loaves. Well the guy sliced one anyways and just rolled his eyes and gave a half-a*sed apology and argued with the old man about it. Then he forgot to give me my pastry box and only gave me my sandwich in a bag and a different customer had to run outside to catch me and say I forgot my box. When I went back it took like 5minutes of people telling him in both French and English to give me the box whike he argued. Eventually his female Co worker handed me the box . I ordered 2 red unit tarts, but the staff said three times hello to me. After that, she ignored my order, and received another order for the customer who was waiting behind of me. It was really strange situation. I was still waiting for my turn, and ordered 2 red unit tarts again. However, same staff ignored my order and talked to another customer who was behind of me. I expressed my embarrassment to another customer. This customer talked to the staff that it was my turn. Finally I purchased tarts. However, credit card was not approved due to unknown reason. I paid cash and then came to the air b n b. I received credit card approval after coming back to air b n b.
To receive refund, I revisited this bakery shop.
I requested refund to the same staff, but she told me there was no enough changes at the counter. I just received 1.9 euro? and came outside.
