We recently dined at this restaurant and, unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing despite a beautiful location.
The food was average — serviceable, but nothing that stood out. What really affected our afternoon was the inconsistency in service: one waiter was incredibly rude and unhelpful, while another went above and beyond with friendly, attentive service. It’s always a shame when great effort from one staff member is completely undermined by another’s behavior.
The major issue, though, was with the restaurant’s boat (tender) service. In the past, we’ve taken the short 100m boat ride and tipped €10-15 each way — a reasonable and unspoken understanding. This time, however, without any prior notice or signage, we were abruptly charged €50. With no explanation and no warning, it felt like a cash grab. We gave all the cash we had on us (€30), especially considering we shared the return trip with another group of guests.
To make matters worse, the drop-off was chaotic and unsafe — one of our guests nearly fell out of the boat due to careless handling by the driver. And just when we thought the ordeal was over, a member of staff actually came back on the tender to confront us, shouting aggressively and demanding more money. When we calmly tried to explain the situation and how we felt about the charge, he responded by swearing at us.
This aggressive and unprofessional behavior at the end of the afternoon completely soured the experience. It was a clear lack of respect for guests and basic hospitality.
In short: a restaurant with potential and some dedicated staff, but completely let down by poor communication, inconsistent service, hidden charges, and shockingly rude conduct. Definitely not somewhere we would return.
I would suggest they post on their website the per person charge for the...
Read moreI’ve never written a Google review before, but this place was so outrageously bad I had to. One of the worst beach club experiences I’ve ever had: overpriced, rude staff and badly managed. The sea is fine but it’s nothing you can’t get at ANY public beach in Nice or the surrounding area and those are free.
The food is mediocre and the service is shockingly rude. At the restaurant, a friend who only wanted a drink was told he couldn’t sit with us unless he ordered a main dish. When we tried to order a salad and fries so that he could stay, we were told those “don’t count.” Our friend ended up leaving. The waiter’s attitude throughout was openly rude and unpleasant.
In the bathrooms, my friend and I were scolded twice for walking in with damp swimsuits — at a beach club! I had a perfectly valid reason to go straight to the toilet after swimming and had already dried myself. Still, the attendant was so aggressively rude that it turned into a full-blown argument. When we complained, another employee admitted this woman is “always like that” and that many people complain about her, but they “can’t do anything.”
To end on the perfect note, the cashier yelled at us for wanting to split the bill between seven people, saying it would be too much trouble for him. It wasn’t just that he refused, it was his condescending and unnecessarily rude attitude.
I’ve been to beach clubs all over the world and I’ve never seen one so badly run, especially for a place that dares to call itself exclusive. If you value your money and your mood, avoid this place completely. I would have given zero...
Read moreA few days ago my wife and I spent the whole day here enjoying a cabana with our two children. After reading reviews here about terrible food, service, etc we were quite apprehensive.
But I can honestly say we had an amazing day and the service was excellent. The food was really good too (lightly fried squid and zucchini / courgette was delicious and the margarita pizza was good - the base was decent and the passatta and mozzarella was excellent quality). The beach and view is spectacular. Our waiter Matthieu was fantastic.
Yes it is expensive, but in the context of a big holiday we felt it was well worth it for one day to create a really memorable experience in a unique location. So while the price of food and drink is expensive, it is on par with the inflated pricing you get from any hotel pool bar or beach club in the world. I can only assume the cost is what set other reviewers off on the wrong foot, after which they were determined to find fault with anything. Maybe they had a “bad egg” on service but as far as we could see the waiters and waitresses were universally friendly and attentive. They were constantly moving, serving, chatting to customers, etc.
So if you’re reading all of these reviews and are worried, I can assure you that it is a wonderful experience so long as you get that hiring a lounger at a classy beach club on the med isn’t going...
