We had a reservation for 8 booked online. Got there for 8 and as soon as we arrived they cancelled the booking. Told us it was the system. Rude and lied to our faces. (The place was empty). We complained and walked away. Called us back said it was a mistake even though it clearly wasn’t. The most ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen and experienced.
And then to top it all off we walked past and said good evening and the waitress gave us the finger. I actually couldn’t help but laugh, it was that pathetic.
They then proceeded to reply to our review-they didn’t find a place for us until we had left the premises (after being told our booking had been cancelled). Again let me reiterate, A BOOKING which we got a confirmation email for. Saying we were aggressive is so far out of touch it’s quite laughable (quite like this entire establishment). We simply wanted an explanation as to why our booking was cancelled at 19:59 when we arrived at 20:00 for that booking. Furthermore, being born and raised here I have never experienced this kind of clueless customer service especially when you target people on holiday who just want to enjoy themselves. Why would we want to go back after this treatment? We ended up in la nonna which was delightful-great staff, amazing food and atmosphere. They found a space for us right away even though very busy. I have attached photos below of the confirmation and the cancellation at 19:59 for a 20:00 booking!!!! Disgraceful, rude, pitiful and just plain tactless. I will be telling all my friends and family to avoid this place. Go to la nonna (or...

Read moreTerrace was almost full , 2 tables available, everyone eating but they said they are closing. Their opening hours are 12 pm- 12:30am. Would be nice if they updated their programe everywhere online so that people would not go there to eat just to find out they are closing at 3:40 PM. RE: I appreciate the prompt reply from the owner , trying to put the blame on me for not being understanding about the staff that need to rest for one hour. I am a very kind and understanding person and probably would have waited for one hour (especially after driving for half an hour to eat there) but I was just told that ,,we are sorry, we are closing, come back another time". I noticed now that putting the blame on everyone that does not leave a good review is a custom...
