Zitto Speakeasy. — Restaurant in Nice

Despite struggling to locate this hidden bar for 20-30mins (which I understand is by design of course), the drinks and service did not disappoint.

The barman, let's call him 'G', was particularly pleasant to speak to and showed an incredible passion for his craft. My wife and I opted for the option where they make something up based on your preferred spirits and flavours. The end results were delicious and interesting.

G provided some details of the process and left me, a casual but passionate mixologist, gobsmacked with some of the flavours he had worked in to our drinks. Specifically "sapin", which took me back to my youth living in the French Alps.

I said it to G at the time and I stand by it still; we have sampled drinks from some of the best cocktails bars in the world, and what he produced that night was better than most of them. If this bar doesn't make it into the top 100, I personally think that it would be a travesty.

I’ve been too a lot of speakeasies but this one is quite special. It’s a two man team with an innovative and rotating menu. To get in, you have to a little hunt which isn’t hard but makes the experience cooler. The drinks are delicious but what takes the cake are the baristas. Our server (I forgot to catch his name) was amazing. So attentive, so creative, and extremely welcoming even with our language barrier. I do not write reviews often but I feel like this place deserves it since it seems like not many people have found how much of a gem it is.

My favorite thing off the menu was the build your own cocktail. The baristas are extremely talented and incorporated ingredients that I have never even seen before. Both the drinks that my girlfriend and I described were created to perfection. I really wish this place the best and hope...

We had zitto speakeasy recommended by the food tour guide on our first day in Nice. You have to go through Gigi's restaurant to find it but it is amazing. There are cocktails you can choose from (and a small selection of food) but the bartenders will also create you your own bespoke cocktail based on your tastes. Jay (our bartender for the night) made me an amazing smokey twist on an old fashioned and then a negroni style but much sweeter, witha hint of sage from his own infusion, which was also super tasty. Cannot recommend this place...
