Aupa Caminito — Restaurant in Paris

We came a long way from the center to try these burgers. The waiter told us that there was no way for us to sit inside because a larger group made a reservation (even though there was still a small table we couldn’t sit there). I think it was his boss that insisted and I felt that he was really sorry about having to place us outside in the cold. I asked him for a recommendation and he showed us the two most popular burgers on the menu. We ordered both of them (the pulled pork and pulled beef). The pork one was excellent, 5/5 stars… the beef one we didn’t enjoy that much… that’s why I decided to place it in the middle at 4/5. The waiter later explained us the beef one is a traditional French recipe and the beef is slow cooked in a wine. I personally didn’t like this strong wine taste in the burger. The potatoes were okay… a bit too oily and lacking salt. I also found the area a bit creepy at night (we went there around 10-11pm) because we came with the train and returned with the bus, and on our way back a homeless guy persecuted us. Classic Burger 👍 | Burger bistro tout à fait classique, raisonnable en qualité et quantité pour son prix (servi avec frites), qui se démarque par ses légumes et son choix de pain. [Avis détaillé] 🥩 Viande ordinaire, plutôt maigre, avec cuisson demandée et bien respectée, juteuse. 🧀 Fromage, c'est de l'american cheese. Ordinaire, goût standard, sans grand intérêt. 🍯 Sauce ketchup mayo moutarde en grain est bien présente, à mon goût même trop présente. Elle donne une bonne acidité. Mais je trouve qu'elle fait trop de contraste avec un burger qui autrement est relativement sec. Ce serait bien si le gras, "l'humidité" du burger était mieux répartie (pain et viande plus gras) 🥬 En plus de la classique tomate, petit twist, le combo carottes concombre, ça change c'est sympa et frais, ça a une bonne mâche qui me rappelle les bahn mi, mais à mon goût, le cornichon, plus juteux, reste supérieur. Ces légumes sont mélanges à la sauce comme un coleslaw. 🍞 Pour le buns, le choix est possible : • Potato bun 👍 | correct, mais c'est ce que c'est, c'est sec par rapport à un brioche bun • Muffin 👎 | vraiment sec, friable, pas ouf du tout, pas de valeur ajoutée • Croissant❔| celui qui m'intéressait mais je n'ai pas pu tester 📐 La structure du burger instable force à manger avec les couverts, en particulier celui au pain muffin instable, j'avoue que pour l'expérience du burger je préfère qu'il puissz se tenir en main. 🍔 Dans l'ensemble, c'est un burger correct avec de bonnes saveurs et une sauce qui dénote un peu trop vu le côté sec du reste. Si j'en commande à nouveau, c'est avec un croissant bun, normalement plus gras.

Frites 🌟 | Vraiment bonnes, bien calibrées, ni molles ni surcuites, servies minute très croustillantes, moelleuses à l'intérieur, et qui tiennent le temps. Elles n'ont même pas besoin de ketchup.

Budget : ~13€ par personne, 12€ le classic burger...

So I never write reviews but this place compelled me. One month in to a two month work trip I discovered Caminito with a co-worker. Two weeks later and I have been back about five times, even with all the thousand other restaurants in town. You would never guess how affordable the food is if you tasted it. It blows everything else away from a taste to cost perspective, and even if the food was twice as much I would still go there because it's that good.
