Bensaï — Restaurant in Paris

The food was good, but the service was very slow. We were seated early; however, another party of two arrived at the same time as us, and both parties were seated simultaneously. Despite this, their food arrived on time, and they even finished their meal before we received ours.

Our food took about 40 minutes to arrive. The hostess who seated us mentioned that we had to leave by 9 PM because a party of nine was coming in. At the time, we thought that would be fine, assuming we’d have enough time to eat. However, when our food finally arrived—40 to 45 minutes later—we realized there was no way we could finish within 15 minutes without feeling rushed.

We expressed our concerns to the server, who was understanding, but overall, we did not have a good experience with the service. The whole situation felt odd and out of place. Also it was past 9PM and no large parties arrived and there were still many...

This small but cozy restaurant has reasonably priced high-quality sushi. Finding really good sushi in Paris is hard let alone at a good price and this place has both. I am giving it 5 stars, however, I do have two small complaints.

1. We specifically chose Bensai because they offer various signature rolls (also hard to find in Paris) but we were told several were unavailable that night. The ones that were available, however, were excellent.
2. We have 4 teenagers so we always get the large 'sushi boat' offered at most sushi restaurants but Bensai only offers it as part of the lunch menu. It would be nice to have a similar offering for dinner for those wishing to purchase sushi / sashimi in large quantities. Luckily, the prices at Bensai are reasonable, so even with having to purchase large quantities individually, it didn't...

Ok so basically I have not eaten a good red curry for about 10 years. I see the good comments on this restaurant and reserve a table for 3. The restaurant and decoration are very stylish, very clean and you feel safe. The personnel is amazing, our waitress was very kind, considerate of our wishes and always smiling, something very important to me when working in a service job. So many thanks to her for being such a good pro and a smile goes a long way. To finish, the food. Very good, very tasty, and made by cooks originated all from Thailand and Laos, so you recognized the taste of the real red thai curry.
