Big Fernand — Restaurant in Paris

I don't recall ever giving 1 or 2-star reviews in the past, but this one really was terrible.

Stopped here to grab a bite on the go between two trains.

I paid about 20 bucks for a very bad sandwich, "okay" paprika fries and a can of standard ice tea.

First, saying the place was dirty would be an understatement.

The meat was overcooked (asked for medium rare, ended up with very well-done), and I noticed some weird dark blue spots on the bun (check inside), unfortunately not until the last bite...

Was in a rush so didn't bother to send it back or make a scene, but I noticed and heard the staff knew they messed it up and were watching, waiting to see whether I'd eat it anyways or not. Weird vibes.

I know this brand pretty well and used to trust it, never had any problems with it in their actual restaurants nor with numerous delivery orders.

Big Fernand usually is your average "high quality, high prices" burger chain with very cliché french names.

It's a trend, you'll see those everywhere in Paris.

I think this particular restaurant should be avoided though, because quality and service really were way subpar compared to the rest of the chain.

Pretty sure they don't pay attention to quality in this particular place because the average customer is a tourist, stopping by between two trains and never comes back anyways, so they can unload their low quality stuff there.

Brand lost a customer for good though.

NEVER GOING THERE AGAIN. DONT GO THERE How do manage to be the worst restaurant in the whole region. I went there with some friends couple days ago, the seats are small and uncomfortable and the price was not in anyway reasonable for the food we got. I small bowl of soggy fries with a mouthful of drink was 5€ with loads of paprika trying to choke on every bite. That’s not even the worst part, it’s the employees, especially the slim black girl who was our cashier. She had this condescending look on her face the whole time we were there and the other employee are no better. They wouldn’t stop judging everyone who comes by and there was always an eye on our group of course with a judging face. They would look at each other and laugh, what a bunch of bullies. Très décevant. Pour mon expérience j'ai pris une formule full: un bartholomé sans oignon saignant. une Falade (cherchez pas c'est une Salade) un thelixir pêche un flan. annoncé sur la carte 19€ mais facturé sans prevenir à 19,50€ Le tout mangé en 10 minutes et toujours avec la faim en sortant.

la salade est très basique avec 1 pauvre petite tomate séchée, le tout manque cruellement d'originalité mais c'est le meilleur du menu donc ne nous plaignons pas trop.

Le sandwich est tout petit, la viande n'a pas de gout et est bouillie. Elle est froide alors qu'elle vient de cuire. la sauce est correcte, le fromage quelque part dans le sandwich mais il manque lui aussi de goût seul la poitrine a un goût et le pain est tout moue.

Le thé pêche c'est de l'eau avec beaucoup trop d'arôme correcteur, c'est pas terrible mais c'est clair vu le manque de gout ca doit être beaucoup moins sucré qu'un icetea à mcdo

et pour finir le Flan qui "ne vous décevra pas" selon la serveuse. et bien il est simplement pas cuit et sans goût. donc perdu madame la serveuse je suis déçus.

bref c'est cher, trop cher, la qualité n'est pas du tout au rendez-vous avec le prix. la quantité est trop juste, rien a voir avec les photos, même McDonald's fait presque mieux et pourtant ils ne cherchent pas a mettre des produits de qualité (suffit de voir le steak de McDonald's ) mais je pourrais presque les comparer c'est pour vous dire. Buffalo grill est beaucoup mieux pour moins cher mais il n'y en a pas dans la gare alors je compare avec McDonald's

sinon en note positive car j'ai quand même mis 1 étoile ils fournissent un rince doigt le personnel est agréable (sans en faire trop) le service est très rapide je suis entré à 19h03 et ressorti après avoir mangé à 19h14

ps: j'ai contacté la "maison savary" qui fabrique le Flan après avoir constaté que la majorité des consommateurs adoraient leurs produits je voulais comprendre. Il s'avère que le Flan que j'ai mangé aurait probablement été congelé ce qui expliquerait cette texture désagréable. est-ce un accident de parcours ? En tous cas si les produits sont congelés et non frais je comprends mieux ma déception lors de ma visite. j'aimerai avoir le point de vue du représentant de big Ferdinand sur cette mauvaise expérience diamétralement opposé à leurs...
