Awful experience at this restaurant - screamed at by a member of staff, namely a man I believe to be the restaurant manager (man with blonde pony tail). Stuck in traffic due to road closures so we were running 15/20 minutes late for table, called in advance to apologise, explain and agreed to order food over the phone so as not to cause any inconvenience to the restaurant. The restaurant agreed to place our order.

When we arrived at the restaurant, the restaurant manager demanded that we leave the restaurant saying he cancelled our order and the kitchen was closed. He completely embarrassed us in front of the entire restaurant, we understood that we were in the wrong as we were late, but to be publicly berated is utterly unacceptable in my opinion. Especially as we had called to apologise and explain the circumstances.

Our friend tried to go back in again and explain that the staff member we spoke to on the phone had agreed to place our order and it transpired that all of the food we had ordered was lying out on the table for us! Essentially, the restaurant had placed our order but the manager wasn’t letting us come into the restaurant to eat it! Even worse - food was still coming out the kitchen after we arrived so it was clearly not closed.

The restaurant also tried to charge us for starters which we never received and restaurant manager was very difficult about this when we raised it with him.

On balance, the other members of staff were nice and tried to be helpful. The food we ate was also really nice. However, the service received from the restaurant manager was really disappointing and the way he spoke to us was unacceptable. As a group of young female women we were really shaken by this experience. As a paying customer, we were made to feel very unwelcome and the service falls short of the standard you would expect to receive. Undoubtedly one of the worst experiences I have had in a restaurant and I would caution anyone to think twice before...

a cute restaurant but for me, it was a little disappointing. i think the interior is lovely and the servers are great, but generally the food was average and the service was slow.

the white wine was okay but very standard, wish it was a bit more poignant. also took quite a while to get it. it was a busy restaurant so I understand, but there were plenty of people on shift.

the magret de canard à l’orange to share was plump and perfectly cooked, however it was served a bit cold. i also thought the lentils lacked flavour and the whole dish needed a lot more salt and pepper. the potatoes were really nice and crispy though, and the roasted carrots had a good earthy sweetness. the best part of the dish was probably the gravy, although I wish there was a stronger flavour of orange.

the dessert took a very long time to be served and it was not really worth it, the riz au lait was one-noted and just tasted of sweet milk. undeniably this is an enjoyable flavour but it lacked depth, like a dash of vanilla or cinnamon or a jam.

the moulleaux promised more than it gave, it was quite dry even with the custard on top, and it lacked in cocoa. quite bland, to be honest.

sorry, but i believe you can get a much better experience for a similar price somewhere else. that being said, i am happy they welcomed us quite late on a sunday night, and the restaurant was very busy so i think many people enjoyed it. it was fine but not great,...

It was a disgustingly unpleasant dinner. I suspect the previous customers uploaded heavily edited photos—the vibrant colors and what seemed like a luxurious setup were the only reasons I decided to give this dinner a shot. However, the actual environment was a beautiful facade near the entrance but turned into an eyesore towards the back with shabby walls and pillars. The dim lighting seemed deliberately used to hide its ugliness. I don't believe this was part of their intended ambiance. As an interior designer myself, being seated in a dingy corner with walls that were a complete eyesore was repulsive. It killed my appetite entirely. I requested a seat change from the manager, but she dismissed me without making any effort. The food was bland and unremarkable, lacking any distinctive features. Initially, I might have given the food a 2.5-star rating, but due to the manager's appalling service and the dreadful environment, it's not even worth a single star now. There are far better options in the vicinity. This was an incredibly unpleasant experience, and I would never recommend...
