We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location is excellent—just steps away from the M1 Metro line, which made getting around the city incredibly convenient. The breakfast selection was wonderful, and the dining area was clean and nicely arranged each morning.||||One of the main reasons I chose this hotel was because it was one of the very few that offered rooms with three single beds—an ideal setup when traveling with two teenagers who prefer not to share a bed. While some Airbnb or Vrbo properties may have similar sleeping arrangements, they typically lack hotel amenities like breakfast and air conditioning—especially important during the summer months.||||Although the property was undergoing renovations during our stay, this didn’t impact our experience much beyond a bit of dust. That said, I would recommend the hotel clearly note this on their website so future guests are aware in advance.||||There was, however, one disappointing experience. One morning, I went down to the breakfast area to get a coffee to take back to my room while my teenagers slept in.The dining room was very busy that morning, with limited seating available—I wouldn’t have been able to stay and sit down even if I had wanted to. As I was waiting for the elevator, the breakfast attendant made a rather rude comment, telling me I shouldn’t take the coffee mug out of the dining area and that the cups in the room are what I should use instead. While I understand and respect the hotel’s policies, the manner in which this was communicated felt unnecessarily harsh and condescending. A simple sign in the dining area advising guests not to remove dishes or cutlery would be a much more respectful way to communicate this. In addition, the dining area that morning was busy and I would not have found a spot to dine regardless||||Additionally, on another morning, the same staff member asked me which room I was staying in—presumably to confirm I was a guest. While it’s possible other guests were asked as well, I did not observe this happening. This interaction left me feeling uncomfortable and, frankly, singled out—possibly due to my ethnicity, though I sincerely hope that was not the case.||||Despite that incident, we truly enjoyed our stay overall and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to others—especially families looking for practical room configurations and a convenient,...

Breakfast was not included free in our booking through 3rd party, but you can add it for 8 euros per person per day. They advertise that you get the best rate + free breakfast if booked directly through their website instead. Breakfast right now (may be affected by covid) was coffee, juices, yogurt, and pastries for ~3 hours starting at 7am. It's very close to groceries, restaurants, cafes, markets, train, and the best metro lines. You can also order food delivery on the apps. It's a 10-minute metro ride or 25 minute walk to the Marais, one of the most lively and trendy Paris neighborhoods. You can also get to the Seine by metro or by a romantic walk along the southern part of the Canal Saint-Martin. Because of covid, the hotel isn't currently working with an airport shuttle. We took a taxi from CDG airport to the hotel for 53 euros and an Uber back for 54 euros. Took about 45 minutes by car. To Orly would be about 25 minutes by car. Be sure to google airport taxis to make sure you know how to get an official taxi. If you're comfortable with it and don't have more than a suitcase & bookbag, public transportation (subway + bus) would also be fine and safe. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it for a budget-conscious travelers...
Read moreMy husband and I have stayed in Paris at several different hotels through the years; but, this one will not be repeated again.. We booked Hotel Paris Bastille for its close proximity to Gare de Lyon as we had a short period of time between our connecting trains. The room was very small with only enough space to open one suitcase at a time, and there was only 12-14 inches between the foot of the bed and the wall. The room was not very clean and there were unpleasant stains everywhere in the room (see pictures below). The hotel is severely under staffed. There was also an aggressive, unfriendly receptionist. I was not present with my husband initially checked into the hotel and the receptionist told him about the plastic electronic key policy, where the hotel requests hotel guests leave their electronic room key with the receptionist each time you leave your room. So, when I came later to the hotel to meet my husband and leave to go to dinner, we walked out of the front door to the hotel while the receptionist was speaking to another guest not thinking anything of it. Only to find ourselves later as we walked down the street chased by the receptionist that she must have our plastic electronic key card before we go any further? The receptionist was very aggressive shouting for “fire safety” reasons she must have our room key. I was baffled why she was accosting us outside the hotel on the street over a plastic electronic room key card as it’s common practice at most hotels for guests to keep their room key with them during their stay. It’s a strange, unkept place - not like the photos or paid good reviews. Had it not already been late in the evening, I would have just switched hotels and not stayed there. But we were tired and our luggage was already...
