We traveled to Paris specifically to celebrate my husband’s birthday at Café de l’Église, drawn by their incredible experience last time and a particular dish that we had been dreaming about. When we arrived, we were disappointed to learn that our favorite dish was no longer on the menu. However, what happened next turned our day —and our entire trip—into something truly special.
Our waiter, Lotif, was absolutely fantastic—polite, friendly, and with a great sense of humor. Seeing how much this dish meant to us, he went above and beyond, speaking with the kitchen to see if something could be done. To our delight, Chef Yohan graciously agreed to prepare it for us, and it was just as incredible as we remembered. Our whole party had it, and every bite was perfection.
The fact that they went the extra mile to make this happen meant so much to us. It wasn’t just about the food (which was amazing); it was about the kindness, hospitality, and genuine effort to make our experience unforgettable. This meal literally made our trip, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

Read moreWe found this Café through a friend of ours. She said the owner was really lovely and the food and drinks were delicious. So we went here for coffees and hot chocolates. We sat in the outside area and were served by the friendly staff. The coffees and hot chocolates tasted delicious so we decided to order the dish of the day (Toast with chorizo and gorgonzola). The Toast was incredible !! The owner even recognised our friend from the last time, so she came over to us and had a really nice chat with us! We love her (the owner) so much, she is so lovely. Definitely a big big recommendation!! They also serve really good breakfast and have a bar for drinks in the evening! (You can also pay with card)

Read moreI wish there were more stars to rate this amazing little cafe, but I guess 5 will do now. Visited here with two others for breakfast and we were thoroughly impressed with the food and quality. We had cappuccino and a latte, croissants, French toast, omelettes, pancakes and orange juice that the lovely waiter had given us as a sweet gesture. I unfortunately don’t know his name, but he went out of his way to give us the best service. They were out of croissants, and I joked about how there could be none in Paris - he ran out and brought me some saying “I cannot let you leave without the croissants!”. It honestly made my day so much more special as a tourist. Thank you and I hope to come...
